Under body protection is different from Anti-rust coatings.

I hope, normally these days all the car manufacturers will provide some protection to the engine area and to the fuel lines. You can check with Hyundai any such protection is there or you can check with them is something is offered as option.

Coming to the anti rust under body coatings, these are normally required for the buyers who are located in coastal areas and also it is useful during the rainy season and for whom the daily travelling through bad muddy roads. I suggest this rust coating should not be get done with a dealer as they don't do a proper coating and charge you very high. It is always suggested to visit a place like "3M" and get this done for a efficient coating and a reasonable pricing

Have you guys faced any battery drain issue like in Grand-i10? I have seen a lot of complaints everyday on Grand i10 regarding this and since this is based on Gi10 platform i am asking this.

furious_driver, Even I had apprehensions of the battery drain issue in Grand i10 as Xcent is based on the same. That was the first thing I asked the service station before my purchase. They said it was only initially and they have rectified the problem. I have kept my car idle for 3-4 days and I never had any problems starting the car. It has always started with first PUSH.

That's a good news. Cause i tend to keep my car idle for weeks, as we have SX4, and Xylo in our family. Thanks for the clarification.

I own a grand i10 November model and 3 to 4 days idling is not an issue with the car.I had kept it idle for 10 days since i was out of statuon and the car had to be jump started. So if this car is going to sit around for most of its life I think you should still check.

Huh, i guess the issue is only with Grand i10 and not in Xcent, if what i have read from all these threads. Anyway will confirm it with HASS.

BTW have you tried to shut off your electrical systems when you keep you car idle for long time?

Congrats All Proud Xcent Owners.

I too have a Silver Xcent S(O).

Its really a VFM. Engine is super silent. Too good insulation inside the cabin.

And the ICE with blue color at night looks really awesome.

All in all a nice package by Hyundai.

Best features + interiors at this price bracket and add some simple exterior touch, and duh! Hyundai have a new model here. I wish to see some good engine update, say 1.4L Engine which tweaked for better mileage will be good, cause with such huge body weight 1.2L engine is not a good option. This is just my opinion and even after knowing this, i went ahead and booked one. How dumb i am?

I have booked my Xcent S(O) diesel. Its my second Hyundai after i10. I am planning to get a reverse camera fixed, but a little sceptic if my warranty would be void for electrical components.
I am not finding any accessories for the car in open market, i guess cause its new. Also wondering what are costs of accessories been provided by dealer. Seat covers i was offered by dealer were around 9-10k and the reverse camera with mirror(screen) was around 9k which i felt are ridiculously higher than once available in market.

When we have something we always want more.So your opinion of having 1.4L engine for Xcent is not a off the mark i feel.
But thinking of the price tag , 1.2L is a good one.
And I am pretty sure that after having your hands on this car, you will not regret but fall in love with it more and more.
and if they had updated to 1.4 L engine, remember that would have created a competition to their own Verna which too has a 1.4L engine.
