I see..:-(
I have been trying to check whether any xcent owners have tried installing one for the past 3 months..But till now no responses.. [confused]
Anyway I am going to purchase one now and will see whether I can do it myself.
I will create a separate thread on armrest DIY , if it succeeds so that it can be benefit-full for other xcent owners..

Please do not buy it.. i bought the universal arm rest and it was a disaster.. i took it to 2 different mechanics and both claimed they could install it but they couldnt.

the problem is that the rear ac vent section is sloping upwards so the arm rest cannot be installed at a low level.. if you install it forward, hand brake use is significantly hampered.. install it behind and its too high to place your hand comfortably

did you buy it from a local shop? if yes, you can ask him to try to install it (the fit will not be proper) and so you can ask him to take it back

i had brought it from jazzmyride.com and they refunded my money as they had assured me it would fit properly.

Well, when I went on a Long drive from Vadodara to Noida about, 1200 Kms, ( in 16 HRS[:D]), I used a small pillow, and kept in on my Laps, was very comfortable to drive with it.

Didn't wanted anyone to get inside my New Xcent and spoil it with Drills & Dirt !!!

How ever, never felt the need for an Arm rest in City driving, you can't drive more than a Minute without changing gears.

Hi All,

Need Some suggestion, the front grill of Xcent, is quite open and With Radiator / AC right in front, ?I think it could be problematic in few years with all the stones, dirt, flies, insects, Leafs, etc getting stuck in front of that. Has any one made any Modifications to overcome this Issue. I'm quite sure Hyundai is well aware of this, and they designed it that way. But , still just an Doubt... Can any one just Help with this.

Any luck with the arm rest installation?
Not yet installed..
I tried the fit and it is not hindering the rear a/c, but is is not that easy to just fix it as per what they are advertising. There are not screws left to fix the armrest to the center console, as they are expecting it to just stay there in the console without falling off..
But in reality it is unsafe to mount the armrest without screwing it to the console as there is a chance that it can fall off..
I am thinking of some ways to fix it, need to work on it next weekend..
Will update once am able to install it successfully..

Finally booked a Xcent sxo petrol. Can't wait to get my hands on. Thank you guys for your feedback..Really helped!
Congrats[clap] Sanal, even I have also booked SX(O). I am awaiting the car for last 1 week now. Dealer is saying issues in RTO process. He is saying most likely the RTO work will happen next week [frustration][frustration]. When is your car expected to be delivered?
