My "Silver Beauty Xcent" Ownership Review

Not yet installed..
I tried the fit and it is not hindering the rear a/c, but is is not that easy to just fix it as per what they are advertising. There are not screws left to fix the armrest to the center console, as they are expecting it to just stay there in the console without falling off..
But in reality it is unsafe to mount the armrest without screwing it to the console as there is a chance that it can fall off..
I am thinking of some ways to fix it, need to work on it next weekend..
Will update once am able to install it successfully..

Any update on the armrest installation?

Thank you Arishi! Have got mine on 17th although they had promised 7th:-)Yes..there is an issue @ RTO as agents are no longer entertained.Its a beautiful car and am enjoying every bit..Congratulations to you as well!

Thats great buddy. Congrats!! For me the wait is still on. Car Booked on 13th Jan. Did the PDI on 9th Feb and ever since awaiting for its delivery.

Hi Arishi, did you get the car? Hey, have clocked almost 1000 kms. Has not let me down even once. the ride quality is awesome and well complimented by a super silent engine and a soft suspension. mechanics are just too good. Haven't yet kept track of the mileage yet..The music system isn't bad either. the surround sound On option in audio settings work well too. I had come across reviews which mentioned sharp brakes etc. I find them pretty good and safe though in Toto super happy with my decision!!

Sanal Kumar I did get the delivery of the car finally on this Sunday Have driven it around 100 km. Its fun to drive. Initial issue I see is week sound from rear Speakers. Need to get that checked. Though overall happy with the decision to buy this car.

Dear Arishi, the speakers at the back are weak in Xcent. I too own Xcent. speakers in Front are good, but back ones are weak. Planned to change them i a Year or so.

Verna has the same setup. But all the 4 speakers are the same atleast in the verna. I changed them to conponents and guess what they are not loud , just the quality improved. I guess the head unit is the culprit. Don't waste money on changing the speakers. You can get them checked before buying.

Thanks dear !! Will surely get them checked once before replacement. May be an Additional Speakers of High power might do the trick. can it be placed at Back Tray ? has any one did that ?

It can be done but like i said limitation is the head unit. Even if you add 2 speakers , the guy will join the wires to the wires already for the rear door speakers (don't think he will connect the wires to the head unit) and again the output will be minimal. Obviously there will be a change but not worth the price you'll pay for the extra speakers.

Thanks! I have opted for Twilight Blue color. crossed 200KM today. Car has been smooth so far and is very easy to handle in stop & go traffic. Yet to do a mileage calculation. But 15 is surely a great mileage.

last 2 Mileage ( based on Full tank Refills ) - 15.79 & 16.43 ( Within City ) Vadodara.

Got it checked at a Local store, and I was advised to change the Unit, or use an Amplifier, But He advised, that Even after using an Amplifier, only 50% Voice increase can be expected. Costing around 6K for Amplifier and 9 K for Speakers.

1. JBL GX - A644SI 4 channel amplifier - 5500 rupees with Bill.
2. JBL GX - A3011SI Mono Amplifier - 7300 rupees with Bill ( paid 9000 rupees including installation and speaker wires )
3. One Pair Used JBL GTO S649C (440 watts) Components at the front - 4000 rs
4. One Pair Mac Audio Components at the rear ( i already had these )
5. Blaupunkt - GTB 1200 SC subwoofer - 4500 rupees
6. The wooden plank on which the amplifiers are fitter - 500 rupees.

so what amplifier and speakers are you choosing ? 4 speakers ? or a 2 speaker and 1 subwoofer setup ?

^^ I understand, but when i test drove the car, i felt it is little underpowered, especially in highways. Yes, i did test drove in combination of highway+city and for city it is perfect car. Even though with this mixed opinion, i went ahead and booked, cause most of my running will be in city.

And this car has something, that other manufacturers lack. Build quality in interiors and decent exterior design with minimal curves. The boot is not ugly like dzire nor looking odd like Amaze. Features list is something amaze should be ashamed of. And this is what pulled me towards this car and i am happy with this car.

Hi, i have been following and reading all the threads and it has been so amazing and interesting, it finally made me to register and get involved. i am thankful to such a nice review and threads.
I wanted to confirm which model you have Sx or Sx (O), as now there have been some changes in models it is confusing to compare the features.
