Its been a while I've been away from this site.. I measured it when the needle was at the last point. Filled petrol for 2k which was approx 26 litres. Intially I used to cover only 160 to 170kms. Now I c a whooping 255kms coverage.. which mean its appox around 10kmpl. I got this car for 6.43l. Have installed nice seat covers, 3D floor mats and a rear view camera with additional screen. I thought of driver armrest but then it fitting seems to be a problem since it has rear AC outlet.

I took my xcent for a weekend trip to belguam. The car has done a total of 8000kms. No problems whatsoever. I got a call from hyundai for a checkup since i completed six months.

3 months with my Xcent S petrol, and already done 5700kms. Still cabin is silent but a little bit worse than before. But all in all, good experience so far and I plan to reduce my usage by bringing m=back my bike. :D

@furious_driver and Ramsan, what is the real time mileage for your Xcent petrol both city and highways?
How is the AC performance?
Do you also have/plan to buy an engine guard at the bottom for underbody protection to prevent from stones-any hyundai accessory available?

Does anyone know the AC compressor size? i do see for elite i20 Hyndai had improved it to a 122cc compressor but don't know what is it in Xcent?

I don't know about the cc of the compressor but AC is super cool, A lot better than my earlier swift. we can shut off the rear ac vents when there are no passengers at the back. Blower speed in position one is equal to the second position on my swift. Takes very little time to cool compared to my earlier cars. (santro and swift vxi).

I didn't measured the mileage exactly, but it is almost equal to my swift. 16 to 17 on the high way and 10 to 11 in the city traffic conditions. Almost all petrol cars in this segment only matches with this reading.

I like the narrow body design , because it is very easy to park and drive in the city traffic. some how i feel my swift is more bulky now. Xcent is narrow but offers more space and legroom than other cars in these budget.

I haven't installed engine guard , I am not thinking it is required. Floor mats (carpet and rubber) , and body cover are the only available genuine accessories from Hyundai so far. we may have to little more to get genuine seat covers from Hyundai.

But the basic car itself is fitted with all necessary fittings, don't think any additions required.

From what I have read, Xcent uses same A/C compresser as of Elite i20.

I feel the need for underbody protection as the roads in my place is nothing but dump holes. But no idea about where I can get it. May be 3M!

Real Time mileage calculated using Torque + OBD II

B2B Traffic - 11kpl
Medium Traffic in City - 13kpl
Everyday commute(60highways-40city) - 15kpl
100% Highway - 17kpl

And confirmed the same with tankful method too. Difference is close to 0.1-0.3, so removed decimal points.

Thanks for the info ramsan, i too agree on the narrow design as its easy to park and drive in city. Currently, am confused with Xcent, Zest and elite i20, tilting towards hyundai products for the sheer quality fit and finish if offers and good service n/w across TN.

^^ Elite and Xcent are different categories. If you are ok with Sedan, and if it's petrol, I suggest Xcent. And if you need sedan type Diesel, then go for Zest.

But if you want powerful diesel hatch, it is Elite i20. Getting i20 petrol is useless, because it houses same 1.2L engine with additional weight.

Thanks @furious_driver, the vehicle is for my parents, they were looking out to replace their faithful Fiat UNO and they need to have a trouble free car which hyundai xcent petrol perfectly ticks all the boxes.

Can you lay out the service interval for Xcent both free and paid service both in kms and years.
Also, did your xcent bottom's out in any of those large sped breakers when fully loaded as its GC is 165mm?

@TN33

For your parents, it is perfect choice. I would suggest to go with Xcent rather than Elite. Parking made easy with my Xcent.

Free Service Interval is 1500/10,000/20,000 kms.

After that, interval is every 10k kms.

Regarding GC part, till now I had scraped my bottom once, but I will not say that as speed breaker, it is more like mini mountain. First time I drove like I used to drive my Alto. And it scraped. But apart from that, I have never scraped bottom in speed breaker, be it whatever size it be.
