Re: My New Storme LX a.k.a CARBONADO

@viky,

It should be the clutch operation. It usually happens when you release the clutch, if I am right.
Yes Navnit, the sound is heard when clutch is released quickly. Again, its not heard "every single time" the clutch is released fast but "many times".

And, since its intermittent, like last night I tested that around 10 times, and I could hear the noise for about 5-6 times. So I am thinking it to be an issue/niggle in the vehicle.

This is the first time I am noticing it. Will check it again today and will let you know.

Then I dont think you should worry about. Its the sound of the clutch de-activating.

Thanks Navnit. I have checked that and i hear that sound every time i depress the clutch, when car is stationary and engine is running.

and I guess this is why, there is slight increase in RPM when I press my clutch when car is stationary and engine is running?

@Viky

These sounds are common things out of these engines and mechanical parts while engaging and disengaging, so I suggest please try to hear more and more sounds which puts in un necessary confusion[:)], just switch on the music when you switch on the engine[lol]

If that tuk sound is coming continuously then sum mechanical issue,i am sure you must aware when AC cooling starts and there is a tuk sound and when the cabin is cooled,cooling is cut off again there is a tuk sound.
Especially in eco mode (green)there is more of this start - stop clicking sound

The Tuk sound (only once) comes only if the engine is running, car is stationary and release my clutch quickly after pressing it completely.

the AC cutoff sound I am aware of.

I guess its normal kind of sound.

Re: My New Storme LX a.k.a CARBONADO

My car is looking ravishing after a session of polishing.

Used the following
1. Meguairs Ultimate Polish
2. Johnsons baby shampoo 2 ml for 10 ltrs of water
3. Formula 1 Carnuba Wax

I first dusted the car with Microfibre duster, then washed it well with little bit of shampoo and water. Removed the shampoo and have a water rinse.

Then applied Ultimate polish using Microfibre towel. I did it with one door at a time. Applying polish, removing with another microfibre towel. Once that was done,applied Wax all over the body and then wipped it off using a dry microfibre towel.

it took me around couple of hours for the entire exercise. But at the end of it .. it was worth it.

the Results?

@vikyjoshi - I like the first photograph a lot[:)], especially the majestic look.

BTW, I liked the idea of using baby shampoo for the beast.[:)]

Yes, Infact i wanted to use mildest of detergents/soap so as to prevent any reaction on the colour. So i thought it was the best idea to use a baby shampoo.

Re: My New Storme LX a.k.a CARBONADO

Another small update, today I tried to test the power of the beast. I was on Hyderabad ORR from Airport.

I could take the beast upto 165 KMPH on ORR (6 lane Outer Ring Road, like an expressway) for around few KMs the RPM was around 3.2K. The beast could have gone further but I came down back to around 80-100 the range in which I am currently dirving my beast.

I felt that Beast had some more power left to go till 175, 180 maybe but did not try that.

In that short span, I felt completely in control behind the wheels and simply loved the drive. this is indeed a very powerful beast. Hats off to you TATA!!!

Flipside,
I felt a bit bumpy on the concrete road I guess it would be smooth after couple thousand KM running or should get my Suspension checked?
