@ Dr Mudhan : I was just about to ask you if you had some details about Angel headlamps for honda car...
Dear Sandykudva

I am really happy that my thread is useful to you.

Basically I am a teacher and I drive a lot of pleasure in sharing the knowledge, which makes me learning more and more new things to keep up the standard.

PrawinJ is one of our respectable friend and fellow forum member and I am sure he will help. He has started a thread too.

I also felt that the online price of Angel headlamps for ANHC is expensive and one can’t be lucky to avoid 30% custom duty which would be an additional expense in India and now imagine what would be the total price?

As you have indicated, when it is available for a cheaper price with warranty in India, better you can go for it.

It would be also a Taiwan/ China make.
Please see the physical appearance and the quality of plastics (ABS?), address / website of the manufacturer before deciding, OK?

Regards, Dr MUDHAN

Thanks for the info Mudhan Sir. Both the deals look good.
How do you recommend the product? Does the battery charge comes for atleast 1 week?
Dear venkythaniks

I feel it, would be better to buy in India.

The battery is a standard mobile battery only and the charge will depend upon your number and length of conversation. Some new versions in AE comes with Rechareable bl-5B battery 3.7VDC,890mah for more duration.

For your standard driving call, I hope, there will not be a problem for a week.

Sir, just a suggestion.

It should be possible to use car cigar light point for continuous charging or whenever required (once in a week) we charge directly from car charger.

Yes.
It is not a issue at all. The set comes with such a charger, having higher amp power and can be used even for charging smart mobile phones. Only thing, as you know, lithium battery should not be over charged (sometimes continuous charging ) and that will reduce the life of battery.
Thanks, Sethu for keeping in touch with me.

@ Dr Mudhan : I was just about to ask you if you had some details about Angel headlamps for honda car as i was lloking for one for my civic, saw one of your replies from PrawinJ for the same and it helped me a lot. As said earlier you are providing us with great knowledge. Thanks for that.

@ PrawinJ : Thanks for the information on the angel headlamps provided by you it has helped me lot as i was looking for the same for my civic a but after a bit of research here you are getting those same headlamps for almost half the price. Now i am not sure about the branding but they are also providing a years warranty as the ones on the site. Now here the Angel head lamps with installation without HID bulbs is costing me around 13k and with HID is costing me around 17k. The same on the site is costing around 415 USD (approx 25k) now as i have never ordered any stuff online i am not aware if there is any delivery charges to it but then after you receive the lights there is another 1k for fitting which should make the total upto 26k.

Sorry Dr Mudhan using your thread for the conversation.
Also attaching the Picture of the Angel Lamps.
@Sandykudva: - The HID headlights with angel eyes and DRLs I found in the Aliexpress website are plug and play devices i.e, you dont need to modify your head light assembly kit. Just remove the old and and fit the new one without any cuts on the wires. In addition to it, as Dr Mudhan rightly said, quality matters. I have few of my friends who fixed the HID angel eyes on their honda city and hyundai verna locally from India for INR 25K. However, after few months the headlight assembly got burnt and melted a little.

Please check with Vagtune guys (www.vagtune.in) or Pete's in chennai. They are doing a good job. However, they purchase the kits from Aliexpress only :)

I agree to Dr MUDHAN. If you get all the above sorted, getting a good quality with warranty and less price in India, better to go for that.

My experience on my Volkswagen Polo GT Tsi, the headlights are available in India for the price of INR 33K with fixing charges and the product is purchased from Aliexpress.

Before making the purchase, check with the local providers and chat with the seller in Aliexpress also.

@Dr MUDHAN - Thanks for your comments on me :)

@ PravinJ: Thanks for the reply and thanks for the information as well bro. Nowadays i really don't go for products without warranty for at least a year and specially if it is a electrical item due to previous bad experience. I have not fitted angel eyes or DRL to my earlier cars but have fitted many HID kits. In HID kits i have fitted the ones from china but they work well for a month then the blaster goes off, fed up with this i spent twice the amount for a Philips HID with a years warranty and got it installed from an expert but again the blaster had to be replaced three times but was luckily under warranty. Now i have sold that car off so no idea about it now So my conclusion from this was that whether an branded or non branded any of them can get spoilt on difference is the warranty. Now again the Headlight assembly which is available here is also a direct assembly without affecting the old wiring set. Due to past bad experience i am not interested in the HID just want the DRL and the Angel. Now as i have no experience in online shopping of vehicles part i dont have knowledge how the warranty of the part is covered so i would rather prefer a warranty which is available in my city only then online. I did try out various sites for the same Headlights but all range from 300-500$ some with and some without delivery charges. In the end all work out same unless you order it in a bulk.
Thanks a lot for the information again.

THE BEST KEEPS GETTING BETTER

It is not a news. It is a fact.

Honda has started taking priority bookings for 2014 Honda City. Total 51,000 rupees fully refundable.

The car can be seen during November -December 2013 itself in the show room.

Though it has evolved from the Honda CRIDER concept, the car looks more refined.

I enjoyed the following information from Economic Times; hope you too!

Honda's most popular sedan— Honda City's fourth-generation variant is slated to be unveiled this month with a fresh crisp design and would be bigger than the current model and carry premium features in a move to wrest back its coveted top slot that it had lost to Hyundai Verna.
The new City would also have the option of a diesel powered car, the first from Honda Motors, which is currently riding on the success of its Amaze compact sedan, which also offers a diesel option. With over 35,000 Amaze having been sold since April, Honda is aiming for leadership in the mid-size sedan segment.
According to a source, the new City comes close on the heels of Honda's renewed strategy to gain volumes. Honda has bucked the general trend with sales growing 69% to 59,617 units in April-September period. The new City would be available in six to eight variants of 1.5 petrol & diesel engines and would also have automatic transmission option.
The City is based on the JAZZ hatchback platform and will have more design lines flowing on the exterior to make it more fluidic styled and appealing for the C-segment customers.
It would have bigger wrap around clear lens headlamps with projector lights to give a clean look with a totally reworked integrated LED tail-lights on the rear. According to the same source, the City, which has been the mainstay for Honda Cars in India, would now be bigger in size and positioned above the current model to provide differentiation for the sub 4-metre Amaze compact sedan and also take up the vacuum of Civic that was phased out earlier this year.
"The innovation and design theme that Honda generally puts in their products is phenomenal. Particularly, City, which has ruled in its segment for more than a decade," says Amit Kaushik, principal analyst (auto)—IHS Automotive.

PART IV:

MY CAR PERFUME STORY:

It was when I bought a Pioneer rear speaker the shop man gave me a gift ‘My Shaldan- Squash’, I felt the real need for a car perfume. The fresh welcoming smell when you get it to the car every day morning and the evening refreshing smell when you get back home was mesmerizing. Everyone got into the car was appreciating the wonderful fresh fruit fragrance. When it was about to finish I wanted to try one more perfume as acclaimed by some thread members, the Dr Marcos brand. Snap Deal gave a better discount and I bought the Jasmine (air vent clip on) and Ocean flavors (gel). I had to remove the Jasmine as I did not like the smell even though it was mild. Ocean was mild & good but not noticeable as MS.

Hmmm… I wasted money for these research and decided to settle only with MS. The two flavors which I liked is Squash & Peach. No more online purchase as it was expensive (Max MRP Price Rs.250 to 300/-) and not sure about the genuinity as I have found out some good shops at Chennai where I get the original Matrix imported one for Rs.195/- now.

Somehow, I am allergic to these Air Fresheners, don't know why! I had one Liquid Air Freshener (AC Vent Type), maybe 2 years ago. Though I don't remember the brand, the fragrance was awesome. However, I started developing some allergy, some sort of Boil/Swell inside the nose and it was pretty painful when touched, even from outside. I didn't realize that it was because of the Air Freshener as our office moved to a new building, which was just painted. I was thinking those new paint fumes that triggered such an allergy. While I was on vacation for a week, that Swell disappeared, so I was quite fixed that the office was the reason, without realizing I was away from my car too. (Don't we blame our office / work for all our problems in the life? [lol])

Somehow, I got to throw that Perfume Bottle away as it was broken and unable to fix it in the AC Vent. Few days later, the Boil/Swell in the nose vanished again, but I am continued to be in the same office. That made me to realize that I was allergic to that Perfume and not with these paint fumes. Or maybe, the fumes have faded?

Again, recently I got tempted to buy Ambipur and within a couple of days, I got the same allergy again, in the same spot. That made the point clear that, I can't live with them.

Yesterday, after a lot of contemplation, bought My Shaldan - Squash! Honestly, I am not so very satisfied with the fragrance and found it to be quite strong. Hope it may subside in few days. Not sure whether will be allergic to this too [anger] Will have to wait and watch!

BTW, anyone had such allergies or remedies to it? Appreciate any valuable inputs.
Dear Figoian

Here, I repeat my reply to you on the said thread for the benefit of my followers. Please bear with me, OK?

Yes, a few percentage of people are prone for fragrance allergies or perfume intolerance and you may be one of that idiosyncrasy- as we refer in medicine, an abnormal reaction of an individual to specific foods, drugs or other agents.

As millions of bacteria, we say opportunists, are harboring on our body and any nasal irritation would lead to boil because of invasion of such bacteria. Generally such intolerance leads to eye / nasal irritation, running nose (natural defense mechanism to wash out the germs getting in), sometimes headache & skin rashes.

The best treatment is not by anti-allergic drugs, but better to avoid the causative agent itself, the chemicals.

This is what happened to you with Ambi Pur, such reactions have already indicated by other forum members.

Regarding MyShaldan, if you don’t accept the fragrance or get allergy, better avoid it.

Otherwise, you can take it out & keep in other place in home or office where you don’t sit more time.

If only the fragrance is strong, that’s not an issue at all. You can better wrap with aluminum foil. Make some holes on it to control fragrance, put it back the plastic lid and continue. It would be mild. Even there is a mild version of MS also available i.e., MyShaldan Neo.

Or, you can’t avoid exploring some other brands.

Somehow, I don’t trust the ‘ Auto Car Fresh Air Ionic Purifier Freshener Oxygen Bar Ionizer Deodorizer ’as I understand that they are noisy, interfere with radio frequency.

There is one more option:
Bamboo Charcoal Activated Carbon Air Freshener Odor Deodorant for Car Home
Honestly, I have not tried. If anybody tried this, let them share their experience.

The product Feature:
This carbon package put in the car, can purify the air, adsorption air conditioning put in next to the computer can play the effect of radiation.
Remove the odor, humidity, mites and antibacterial effect of reducing the source of asthma or nose allergy.
Emit far infrared rays, negative ions, by quick blood circulation, promote metabolism, and increase the air of negative ions and activated cells, and beneficial to human health.

Thanks PrawinJ,

Yes. Honda confirms participation at Dubai International Motor Show - Refer this link : Honda confirms participation at Dubai International Motor Show | Al Bawaba

Aesthetically, the car would carry many design cues that are seen on the latest gen Jazz. Also, the car could take some design inspiration from the new Crider sedan.
It appears that the 6th generation version of the 2014 Honda City and the 4th generation model for the Indian car market will keep its date with India on the 25th of November, 2013.

Please visit Dubai Motor show and give us some snap shots.

Regards, Dr MUDHAN.
