When you say roll over without brakes, doesn't it discomfort the passengers?

Well, you maybe interested to contribute in this thread! http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/f...car-breakers-do-they-make-any-real-sense.html
Honestly, I haven’t tried with fully loaded condition. I slow down the car well before the SB and in half clutch I roll over smoothly. I try Angled approach also if it a big one. I think I need more analysis & give me some time, I will share with you.
Sure , I will try to participate in your thread.

PART XVIII :

WHAT ABOUT THOSE COURTESY LIGHTS?

I am thinking of replacing the stock Cabin lamp with LED and under seat illumination (Blue) in sync with the cabin lamp. Your thoughts are highly appreciated..
Thanks, Figoian for making me to share something about this topic.

BMV cars were introduced with these ‘courtesy lights’ as first in the segment.

Their kit includes - front centre interior light, vanity mirror lights, glove box, front map lights, rear reading, & foot wells lights, illuminating it from every angle.

The pure neon blue color makes the interior very cool and attractive, which makes the whole vehicle very distinguishable.

If the car has dual dome light and a map light, making them blue and complementing with under seat blue illumination would be awesome.

When we go for the aftermarket, we should be doubly careful about the quality of the light.

I feel the cheap led strip freely available in the market is worthless and unreliable.

We should go for a better one at least what is there below in the picture.

It must be easy to fix through cigar light socket, should be easily pasted without drilling or damaging the originality of the interiors & electrical.

Since the lives of these bulbs are unpredictable, we may have to remove or replace them later.

Isn’t it!

Hi Dr Mudhan

First of all an heartiest congratulations on your purchase it is no doubt the best car in the segment.
Reading this review after a long time of your posting it but an extremely well written review of the car explaining every details of the cars the pro and the cons and also how each and every accessory that you have fitted on the car had to go through a very strong scanner before being purchased and fitted on the car.
My dad has been a crazy car lover and so has the trait come in me and am religiously taking cars of both my family cars as though they were a part of the family but after reading your review i know i am no where even close to you. You have really motivated me.

Enjoy your ride and keep guiding us for the same.

Thanks Dr. What I would prefer is Brighter LED Cabin Light replacing the OE one + Cool Blue LEDs under the front foot well and under front seats, works in line with the cabin light operation (On/Off/Door).

In addition, I also like the option of "Blinkers" enabled when one of the doors opened or while reversing. I have seen this option with Fiesta (Classic), i-10 so far.

I will anyway work on all these just after Mar 2014 when the warranty expires.

I got it.
In fact, I have been trying for a good quality Dome with two set of bulbs provision for my ANHC, which can replace the original one.
Yes, these lights can be connected to work in line with the cabin light operation- door on/off. It would be nice, automatic and avoid manual on/off - I have seen in one of my colleague car.
Share your experience about 'Blinkers' later.
Thank you, Figoian

I am using the so called "Cheap" led strip and for the past 6 months i haven't had a problem with them. Considering the cost difference between led strips and neon is quite massive i thought of going for the LED lights. In my case i found Led strip to be far more brighter than larger Neon lights. I am using led strip for interior lighting and high quality Neon lights as under body lights.

Thank you, Sankar for pointing out that the led strip is also good.

Agreed, as I have been seeing in one my colleague’s car for the past 10 months.

What I meant that the one I am coming across in Autos / Lorry and in some of the cars in their number plates. They are not appearing to be long lasting. They are burnt in between, their glare is unpleasing to the eyes, and I doubt, whether they are water proof?

I hope, If we get a good, branded strip and their use for our car’s interior will not have such problem.

Now I go to -

PART VIII :
THE TYRE SHINER:

Imagine a person appears neatly dressed but with dirty shoes – certainly not acceptable, isn't it? Many of us clean the car but we give less importance to the tyres & wheels. I have seen many new vehicle has withered alloys or wheel covers. I always wanted my tyres to be clean and shiny. I touch the tyre part last in the cleaning process, with a separate cloth. Of course tyres and wheel covers by separate bits of cloth. Fortunately my regular roads are not muddy.
I tried many products to make my tyres black & shiny. My first product was STP Son Of A Gun- Foam Aerosol Tire Cleaner and I was amazed by seeing the shinning but disappointed as it could not last even for a week and for me it was expensive foam. I thought why not I should try black shoe polish. I tried, but ok, but no shining ( he he .. don’t laugh as it appears funny![lol]). Some auto enthusiast threads said that the cheap and easy way to get shining tyres by using glycerin. I bought medical glycerin, mixed with water, applied. Good shining but only for few days.
Unless it is rainy, I want the shine should last for at least 3 to 4 weeks. I went to my regular auto store for a good tyre shiner, he gave me ‘F1 Tyre Shiner & Cleaner’ a silicone based Chinese one. I did not get the desired result. Some say silicone based tyre dresser is not good for tyres. But silicone has become inseparable in auto maintenance.
I went through some review in Amazon.com and the one I selected is Formula one Tyre Shiner-Black Gold and found it works to my expectation and even after rain.
Let me know if you come across anything better available in India. I read our Indian product Waxpol tyre shiner is very good- anybody tried?

I would like my tyre valve cap to be an aluminum one, weightless. I clean with WD40 before threading them, will not corrode, not to get bonded and damage the mouth.

Some ideas ….

Though I don’t have any experience about maintaining alloy wheels, I understand some good alloy cleaner and polisher are available in the market. Definitely, they need caring or otherwise they get oxidized and become dull. Good tyre polisher and Alloy polisher should never damage each other. Cleaning of wheel covers with regular car shampoo and daily cleaning by micro fiber cloth will preserve the glossy coat.
If a sound comes when car speed is increased, the first thing to be checked whether the tyres have inter tread pebbles-small stones, before checking up the alignment & bearings. To get rid of all stones and pebbles, periodically we can use some blunt tools like Russian medical forceps (available in surgical shops), as other sharp tools and force will damage the treads. Remember to wash and make the tyres wet for easy removal. The water makes it easier to pry the pebbles out of the tire tread as we do before cutting out our finger nails.
There are many good products available in India. Currently I am using Armor All Extreme tire shine gel. But, before any dressing, tires have to be clean first, and believe me, once in a month or so you have to use a dedicated Tyre cleaner. Can use car shampoo on regular basis. And lastly please check your message box.[:)]
