@ gandhi

I understand you are asking about these types. I don’t think so that these types are easily available. Probable an upholstery /car decorator can do for you. Thanks for the query.

1. Sunglasses holder - Civinfo

2. For Honda ACCORD
View attachment 145389
Yes Doc. I'm looking for the same kind of product. I couldn't able to find anything in online from Indian Sites. Thanks for the reply.

As civic / Accord not is sales in India. I don't know whether I can get the spare.

Now I need to search in upholestary / car decorator shops.

[frustration] This is not for Honda. There is no Honda dealers listed in their site, So definitely warranty will come into picture. But its a good one for other cars like Ford, Mahindra and Hyundai.

Wow!! WHAT A THREAD

Absolutely Amazing. I have written a lot of material online but this is by far the best thread that I have come Across. [clap]

First of all, Let me introduce myself.

I stay in Pune and have completed my Commercial Pilot Training in the US.
I have an established Business of Power Tools (SKIL by BOSCH) and other industrial items and Machinery here.
I am an avid photographer and Sportsperson, Not to mention a CAR LOVER [:)]
I do all the maintenance and cleaning of my car myself. My wife says that my cars are my first love.
I used to write reviews by test driving new cars and covering their launches on CarTradeIndia from 2008 to 2012.

I currently own a 2012 Honda City VAT (Sunroof Model) (Will post pictures sometime later)
It is quite feature packed but after reading parts of this article I think Dr Mudhan’s EMT might have more bells and whistles than mine [;)]
I have begun reading the article word by word but it may take some time before I manage to complete it

The VAT Sunroof comes with Original Company fitted Leather Seat Covers (I maintain them using Meguire’s Leather Protector)
-I have a CASKA system onboard (Pathetic system if you consider screen quality and sound if you ask me, but unfortunately I am stuck with it for the time being)
-I have a full time OBD2 device. I used to import them earlier so I use the UltraGauge. It has served me well over the last couple of years. Costs about 7K including customs
UltraGauge OBDII Scan tool & Information Center
-I also have a beautiful CCD Reverse Camera and Reverse Sensors
-I have put 3D mats (Absolute must in any car if you ask me. Once you install them you will wonder how you ever managed without them). Got the Rockstar make from Snapdeal for 2250/-
-I have LED (White) Dome lights which are quite powerful. I am also getting LED foot lamps shortly.
-I also have Blue LED door Scuff (sill) Plates installed.
-For Wipers I have the BOSCH Clear Advantage (I have used Hella Dynaedge to and these are definitely better)
-Horns have been changed to ROOTS Windtone (which are louder and sound similar to SKODA horns)

Now I have sanctioned some budget for the remaining modification that I am looking at. Hopefully with the points in the article and your advice I should get it done easy.
-I have ordered the Shark Fin antenna from AliExpress, thanks to Dr Mudhan.
-I am planning on converting all lights (Brake, Parking, Reverse, License Plate and Fog Lamps) to LED – Having some difficulty, since I have not been able to figure out the type of sockets and the LED sizes required. Reading the article will help me I am sure.
-I have ordered Flip Keys from AliExpress for 600/-
Uncut 2 Button Flip Remote KEY Shell Case for Honda Crv Accord Fit Civic Free Shipping-in Alarm Systems & Security from Automobiles & Motorcycles on Aliexpress.com
(Aparently the Immobilizer unit is in the Remote and by just swapping the electronic unit and duplicating the key the car should work just fine. No need to cut the original key) Will post when I receive it and whether it works or not.
-Thinking of putting Philips Diamond Vision (although have not researched much on that yet)

Some future modification as and when money permits are
Bi-Xenon Projectors and LED Strip for the Headlights.
Engine START / STOP function
Hybrid Installation for Petrol Cars (Revolo)

Hello quraish786,

Hearty welcome to our ANHC family. Hope you will enjoy reading this big and wonderful thread and wish you a long stay. Feel free to ask any queries or share your experiences. [:)]

Indeed, this is a big thread and has lot of information you need to make your ANHC more delight. Let me help you with the light sockets. Here I have made a detailed diagram of all the bulb fittings present in our Honda City. Its is made for 2009-11 Honda City's but is nearly same on 2012-13 Honda City's also, just the design is little changed.

-Thinking of putting Philips Diamond Vision (although have not researched much on that yet)
I don't recommend it because I have it in my ANHC and its just good for looks. If you don't do much night driving, they are good but throw is very less since its 5000k. You may try Philips Crystal Vision if you really want while light, otherwise Philips Bulb X-treme Extreme Vision is best. Of course these are direct stock replacement bulbs and cannot be compared to high wattage bulbs.

Thanks...
Best Regards

The diagram is excellent
Shows the time and efforts that you have taken to make it.
So all lights are white except for the indicators which are amber correct

I'll first go through the thread for info on model and types that you all have purchased
In case I get stuck somewhere I'll ping you [:)]

Thats right.

However, there is a mistake I have made in mentioning bulb type in side maker. It is a T10 bulb, not a T20 as written. Other details like voltage, wattage are correct.

I have just noticed it, so will contact a mod asap and request editing.

Edit: Ok done.

@ Ramdas
1. ANDROID is incomparable to WIN CE 6. More user friendly, powerful, easy update, free applications including maps, and best on capacitive touch screen.
2. Yes. These Chinese AVN units supports Mapmyindia, IGO primo2 map software for WIN CE and almost everything for ANDROID. I shall be sharing my new article over this topic soon.
3. I personally feel that it is better to avoid after-market Keyless Start/Stop system for a car like ANHC.

@ quraish786

It’s our pleasure to meet you here and to know more about an interesting personality, really!
Eager to know more about your car and please share with all of us.
Please let me know the CCD Reverse Camera you have, about its make and performance with pictures. I am giving here next my recent analysis over the rear view cameras!

CAR REAR VIEW CAMERA - THINK TWICE & CHECK BEFORE YOU CHOOSE !

No doubt I gathered and understood the aspects of a car rear view camera, but on realty I felt it that I am unlucky to get a real good camera.

Auto market is flooded with generic car rear view cameras of 99% Chinese make, unbranded & the performance is mostly differ from what they claim in Ads. They are not clearly labeled as CCD/CMD/CMOS.

I wanted a best & real CCD Camera (Sony or Sharp Chip), but what I purchased has disappointed me, the colors were very dark, green leaves were looking blackish, more of contrast but of less grains and no noise. I did not get the one what the seller has shown in the advertisement. The camera connections were something different and not of universal RCA type connectors. As the time is over to raise dispute with the seller, I have wasted some good money too!

Link from whom I purchased: Free shipping HD Color CCD universal Camera Car parking camera Car rear view front view camera car side camera 520 TV LINE-in Rear View Camera from Automobiles & Motorcycles on Aliexpress.com | Alibaba Group

When I wanted to go for a better camera, I had to change the entire wire link with my Car ICE /AVN system, and we know, how painful to remove the console every time in our car ANHC (3rd Gen)!
I saw one good display with my friend’s Maruthi Dezire (Worldtech clip on monitor). He removed the camera on sale of his car and gave me for testing in my car. This camera’s display with my ICE is better, but very brighter!! but bit noisy at night mode, little fish eye distortion. To test, it once again I had to change the camera wiring and position. This camera size (16.5!) is smaller than the one I had (18.5)
This time the camera was fitted over the license plate bulb holder in the center. I made it a future proof so that any new camera can be replaced, if need be.

I started searching a still better camera, even I called the TORQ service person who came and rectified my rear view mirror (meant for rear sensors) vibration which I managed so far with binding clip.

128027d1393476847t-my-new-honda-city-white-albus-20140227_092555.jpg

He brought TORQ (original in box) rear view camera and fitted in my connectivity to show whether it would be better. But I felt, it is almost like the same previous Chinese one which I did not like. This is also a Chinese make, with ‘TORQ’ name screen printed, costing 2400+ MRP. I did not buy the camera. These cameras may be OK for small display screens. The TORQ camera display was having brownish tint and but with little low fish eye distortion.
But I had to buy a spare white TORQ sensor @ Rs.450/- to block the hole in the bumper created for previous camera as I could not get an old broken sensor.

When I checked up with the local automobile market at GP road , I am told to bring the car to select a better camera (as they will fit and show) and there are good cameras ! I want a camera which can make better & manage my big 8” display!

I will explore more to get the best, and, if you know anything better, please let me know!

FOOT NOTE:
So, think twice before buying on line. Find out a better local auto shop who can connect and show the performance and choose the best one that matches your display with details but low fish eye distortion & noise!

Dr Mudhan is an inspiration for car enthusiasts, especially with the amount of depth in the research done for every modification. Of course there are trials and errors but no one learns without mistakes do they? And to see someone go out of their way to share their experiences in such details so as to ensure that others do not have to go through the same mistakes is quite commendable.

@Cracing
Thanks for the diagram and the Tips bro.
for the headlights I am basically looking at white lights for the time being till I can gather the dough to install Bi-Xenons with Projectors and LED daytime running strips (which should cost me close to 22K).

So, I was looking up some LED replacement’s for my stock bulbs. Got lots of help going through the blog. It certainly is an encyclopedia for the topics covered.
Some links are listed below. Any suggestions whether I am going the correct route or are there better alternatives?

Reverse Light – (Looks good, has a projector at the end)
Cree on Aliexpress with Projectors - T20 - 350 Lumens

Brake Light (pls suggest some good link)
Ebay.in - Not too happy with it though

This is another option on AliExpress below but I think 650 lumens in a brake light will blind the person behind
2x-High-Power-LED-T20-COB-W21W-7443-Projector-Turn-Tail-Signal-DRL-Light-Bulbs-Parking

Number Plate Light
The same as Dr. Mudhan's [:)]

Fog Lamps – (33SMD should give good brightness as opposed to 12 SMD)
The one Cracing has bought
This one is Basically the same pattern but with 3 times more LED's

Turn indicators (Any Suggestions?)
AliExpress - Cree with Projectors (750 – 800 lumens which I think is way too bright, any suggestions)
Pair T20 7440 21SMD 5630 5730 Amber/Yellow LED Bulbs For Front or Rear Turn Signal Lights-in Light Source from Automobiles & Motorcycles on Aliexpress.com | Alibaba Group (This one may also be too bright)

Parking Lights – Cant Decide, should not be too bright though
(Plenty of options on ebay.in so might as well order them from here. Will get quicker delivery too)
Ceramic LED Parking Indicator Bulb T10 Socket White FOR CAR Bike 2 PCS | eBay
Ceramic LED Parking Indicator Bulb T10 Socket White FOR CAR Bike 2 PCS | eBay
2 X 9 SMD 5050 LED White T10 Socket ALL Type Bike CAR Parking Indicator Light | eBay

This one on AliExpress might also be a good option

PS -
I will definitely post some pictures of the car's interiors and the reverse camera once I get some more time.
Will also share some of my experiences with my car. (I call her Mulberry [:)])

Hi, Dear Dr MUDHAN and Colleagues,

Let me to go back to entertainment center, which You have mounted.
I've tried many minutes to dismount my origin central panel around radio. Silver panel could be shifted 3-5 mm from desk, any more movement is possible. I've used wide plastic as dismantle way. I have no idea how to pick up this silver frame.
Could You suggest anything?
BR from sunny Poland (Europe)
