Dealer has no clue about extended warranty of grand i10,sent mail to hyundai india and got reply that extended warranty is not available as of now. While hyundai in Europe announced 5 years warranty for next generation I10(Grand i10 in india).
Is it like hyundai does not offer extended warranty initially for a new launch?

Tripranav,
Also to opt for the best option, did Shriram provide you the EMI for the 3yr and 5 yr tenure similar to HDFC. This would make the comparison much easier.
No, Shriram only provided the EMI for 7 yrs. Anyways, today I am again going to the bank and I will get the other EMI options as well for comparison.

Hyundai's had always been this skeptical for their extended warranty specially for their diesel cars, same was the case with getz diesel, i20 diesel, verna diesel too.

Just compared European next gen i10 and Grand i10,following features are deleted from Grand i10
1)Auto AC
2)Adjustable front headrest
3)Flexible grab handles
Coming to exteriors ,European i10 is 100 mm shorter, but it has
1)15 inch wheels
2)Blackened B pillars
3)Honeycomb grill

i think hyundai will offer these features for Grand i10 facelift/refresh or for Grand i10 based compact sedan

Sharing the highway experience on my Grand i10 diesel,
1)Power is adequate, say below speeds of 120 there is good power(I thought not to exceed 100 kmph during run in period, but i couldn't realise i was doing 120[:)] )
2)With 5 people on board and AC on,car did not feel underpowered
3)Rear passengers were very happy about the space and Rear AC

Just completed 300 kms till now, running on temporary registration, should get permanent registration done within a month

And what RPM Vs Gear you are observing for grand diesel?

I did not find any difficulty in overtaking below speeds of 100kmph,can use 4 th gear like automatic all the way from 40-100
I can clearly make out difference in power delivery between sx4 and grand i10.sx4 revs happily while grand diesel is not rev friendly and early upshift gives optimum performance,I shift between 2000-2500 rpm

nkonamme , did u check what is the eco-drive feature?
I believe you are talking about eco mode. If you turn it on the mid will show you when to change gears. If you turn it off MID won't bother to tell you anything :D

But there's more to it. I thought it only affects performance in automatic but now I can easily make out that even in the manual gears power delivery changes. I don't have grand i10 but I think the feature is similar to verna.

allhyundaicars, thanks for bringing that up. Actually I also noticed a difference in power delivery recently in my grand I10. Have posted about it on my ownership thread, I was
guessing whether this eco mode has anything to do with it. The service manual doesnt describe it in detail. I am planning to check with Hyundai people.
