re: My Modified Maruti 800.

Maruti 800 has got poor head lamp beams (It's even worse in Type-3). Good that you upgraded / installed fogs with it.
But some of the newer cars have even worse HLs. Case in point being the Figo. Unless you upgrade the bulbs to 90/100W, it won't illuminate the road properly. Actually, I find the 800's headlamps pretty decent. At least, there's a large enough reflector area, unlike many other designs, so that a better bulb can improve the illumination by leaps and bounds.

Thanks Jihu123 and 350z..

As Nimrod told, 800's reflectors are better than some new car's reflectors..
The illumination/trow is perfect..in type 2 head lamps..

If compared with Type-3, I agree that Type-2 offer relatively better illumination but unfortunately I realized this only after upgrading to Type-3.

re: My Modified Maruti 800.

It’s not so often when I see a Maruti 800 which has Head Unit placed on the dashboard. My installer suggested placing it on aftermarket center console otherwise H.U would stick out. Now I feel that I should not have done it. After market centre console looks and feels so cheap if compared with OEM. What about you?

Nice pictures varun. Liked your mods!! What brand are the headlights and the cost?

Vibhor, I had old 800 and a 5 speed 800 too. In both cars I had installed head unit in the space provided. Never caused a problem.

It looks cheap but can't help, I like the center console, I had bought this from MGA (maruti dealer) itself when we purchased the car. Main problem when you place the HU in the dash is the HU touches the blower unit, it pops out a bit. Also the floor with out the center console looks odd..

Thanks, The headlamp bulbs are Philips 100/90, with roots wiring kit..

But some what I feel console is good, because I have seen my car with the console from the beginning..

No sethumurugan, Head lights have low/high beams, Fog Lamps do not have Low/High beams.

In the images, Varun is reffering to Fogs with High beam in Head light and Fog lamps with low beam of Headlights, Right?
