@sreeharik8202:Please pay attention to the requests by other members.

Please start an ownership thread about your car and post questions as you go.

We are more than happy to help you.

Just ask your questions in the proper manner.

This thread is about Varun's car and his experiences and mods performed on the car.

You are just high jacking the thread, which makes it really confusing for everyone else.

Re: My Modified Maruti 800.

Hello everyone.. This is Aneesh.

Im so excited reading this and really wondering now what and all are possible in an 800. Big thanks to Varun.

I could see, you have the rear view mirrors with lights in it. Im interested in that. Could you please explain hows that done? These mirrors are available to buy, or you fitted LED in the existing mirror? Eager to get a reply, as well as a close up picture of the mirror.

Thanks Varun... Would you mind sharing a close up picture of the mirror which is taken at day time, without switching it own. Just wanted to know how does it look at day time when its not used.

Re: My Modified Maruti 800.

Varun, I had a rear seat mod idea in my mind .Not sure whether this could be practically possible. I had one 800 dx type 1 with the split seat in the rear. I lik the wagon R rear split seat which can be partially reclining like front seat. This could be very comfortable on long drives. Is it possible to fix the wagon R rear seat in 800. If seat width will be problem, then i think it can be rectified by a good upholstery technician. If the head rest not fixed, then it will not touch the hatch door in 800 i think.I was thinking of this modification for longtime after a trip in wagon R. Request your inputs on this.
1.Can we get new Wagon R rear seat in MASS? what will be the cost?
2.Is there any practical difficulty for this?
3. Is there any other way to change the existing 800 rear seat to change like the wagon R seat. I found none of the new 800s/alto comes with rear split seat.

Re: My Modified Maruti 800.

I have a Type 1 800 with split seats :) I am also interested in this rear seat mod.

Varun has a good Idea (Out of the box Idea) on increasing the rear leg room in 800. Varun, pitch in buddy, plz share it here.

Me too had same idea in my mind long back but had to drop it as practically speaking the width of the WagonR seats are more than ours so cant be fitted. Also the floor below the WagonR seats are flat ours has fuel tank below it.

Now instead of the WagonR seats, I have taught get omni's front seats which can be easily fitted.
We just need to drill some holes for the seat slider. Also the head rest should be swapped with swift's rear ones as omni's head rest increases the height which touches the roof. [:)]

Hope you liked the idea. Me and SS80 are planning to get this (Vitamin M issues [lol])

BTW what is out of box idea SS80 ?
