Overall the drive was good, no breakdowns, no issues, no tyre noise. Lack of AC is a serious issue, But still not willing to spend a bomb on AC installation.
Max speed reached: 120kmph

Next thing planned: alternator upgrade/ service

Hi SS80,

You could have used petrol & Oil (Seperately) to free up control cables.

Regards,

Hi Shashi, I will surely try that too.

After a long time, used the car in city - to & fro office, the hot sun just manages to kill the mood in daytime, but while returning its a totally different story, breezy non-stop drive with sharp turns @ 30, 40, 50kmph o aves me with a big smile.

Thecar@ office parking lot.

The swift nozzles on button throw ample water and covers a huge area, I need to just adjust the driver side a little bit.

Last Sunday, I changed the driver door hinges, stopper, lower glass channel. Door feels much stiff now, however it is touching fender now and scraping off a little paint. I will have to remove fender and realign the door. There was one rattling cum squeaking noise which still remained even after changing everything inside driver door (including the glass roller machine), finally I figured out the source, sprayed wd-40 on it and no more squeaks!

Been to garage today, spoke to mechanic and tinker, paid advance, explained them catcon should not be removed.

Tasks for them:
1.shorten muffler to fit in the place of the stock one
2. Flange to be rewelded along with clamps
3. Rear drum inspection and brake shoe replacement
4. Steering star joint to be tightened

Will get the car tomorrow.

A few pics after installation, the sound is less as i decided to retain existing catcon, its just 30% of the normal sound we get to hear from cars with mufflers. [:)]

The rear drums were inspected and they are fine. Brake oil bleeding seemed to have sorted out the issue. Steering rattle has stopped but minute kit-kit noise has started now!

Happy to see your car munching miles wit you!!

I feel the old steering wheel looks odd with the new model dash board. Please change it.

Thanks Releesh,
This is only a time being solution till i buy a new one or to change to the new k10 steering wheel.

The new zen gas dampers have made the ride just too hard, i had to trim the edges so that it fits the bracket on axle. But looks like this mod has only the bumpy ride more intolerable.

I will wait for another few 100kms to see how it works.

The new rear shocks are yet to settle down, i removed the muffler and reverted to stock ones. The muffler needs an extra clamp to be welded, the tinker has not fixed it properly. The muffler is a bit heavy and the rubber clamps are not holding it in place and that rattles a lot. So back to stock muffler, till i find a good tinker to fix it properly.

Aham! The 23yr old lady gets a bit of boom boom now [:D] Thanks to Varun, managed to buy a used amplifier and bass tube. All New cables for the amp and woofer. The power line is a 8mm thick copper wire. Some pics coming soon.

The amp is below the driver seat and the woofer is in the boot. I have set the gain/bass effect screw to enable only about 30% of the max settings. As too much of woofer sound just gets me head ache.
