Re: My Manza Aura ABS QJet - Truly a Breed Apart

Thanks Guys, I will check out the spoiler when I get a chance.

@Vishwas

You are right. Body kit looks like it was done in some local tinkering joint[:)]
Highway Ranger,

Body kit was looking somewhat better than this in the brochure.

Sorry for my crude copying using paintshop from a protected file and then converting to jpeg for uploading. [frustration]

Congrats Highway Ranger on your "truely a class apart" car TATA Manza. One ride in a Manza and you know it's time to "spoil yourself". It is such a nice car that you just can not help but to praise it.But alas thanks to our herd mentality even ugly third grade cars(SWIFT,DEZIRE,SCORPIO,XYLO and many) rule the market. Now I know looks are subjective but come on you have to call 'a spade a spade'.But any how I am happy and proud of valiant customers like you,who did not followed 'the motion of the ocean' rather used their own creative brains to understand qualities of such a fantastic product like MANZA. I HOPE AND PRAY FOR YOU TO HAVE A GOOD OWNERSHIP OF YOUR MANZA,CHEERS

@ THE XOVER

First of all, Welcome to this forum.

Actually I bought my Manza in spite of all the negative advice that I got from friends and relatives for going for it.

I have never regretted my decision even once.

I had owned two Zens both of which were used for over 6 years and never upgraded any accessories for them other that ICE.
They were just cars for me.

But now for my Manza which is almost touching 15000 on the odo, it is 'The Car' for me. I am really happy with it.

Why don't you start a tread here about your car and your experience with it.

BTW, where is Hazaribag? I am poor in geo.:stupid:

thanks HIGHWAY RANGER, we have got 2007 INDICA XETA BLACK COLOUR,just like you many people advised us to go for SUZUKI, BUT we stuck to our decision to go for the "notorious" PETROL INDICA , and after almost 4 and1/2 years we are proud of our decision. XETA is by far the most underrated Indian car ever, even now when peole ask "kitna deti hai" and we tell them 20 kmpl they are like[confused].After owning this car every one in our family has become die hard TATA fan and we sincerly recognize the amazing value aspect of TATA cars.
BY THE WAY HAZARIBAG IS SMALL CITY LOCATED IN THE STATE OF "JHARKHAND" IT IS FAMOUS FOR 'HAZARIBAG TIGER SANCTUARY' ,HAZARIBAG CENTRAL JAIL AND OUR FORMER FINANCE MINISTER "YASHWANT SINHA",cheers[clap]

I googled Hazaribag and found that there are lots of interesting places near by. But it is too far for us to drive down.

A friend of mine had a xeta and he also used to say that he was getting very good mileage on long drives.

Yes Highway Ranger XETA indeed is a terrific car, now our entire family is in love with MANZA and in near future we may upgrade to it,will surely keep a keen eye on your ownership thread[:)].
As far as HAZARIBAG goes yes indeed it has got amazing forests, waterfalls, mountains and historical and religious places but forget about your being far away and not being able to come here, EVEN WE ARE UNABLE TO ROAM ALL THESE PLACES THANKS TO OUR " RED COMRADE BROTHERS"(PUN INTENDED)[frustration]

Re: My Manza Aura ABS QJet - Truly a Breed Apart

Last Saturday, I fixed LEDs on the bottom edge of the doors (puddle lights as they are called in higher segment cars). The result - whenever we open a door we get bright light on the ground. This will help during nights while getting out of the car we can be sure we are not stepping on some puddle of water, or cow dung.

Cost me 550rs. Will post pictures later.

I need these lights to be fitted in my manza, looks very useful as I do a lot of night driving. Are these any branded lights how are they powered?

Re: My Manza Aura ABS QJet - Truly a Breed Apart

These are just LED strips (Chinese made) and they come in rolls. They cost around 125/150 per foot including installation. You can also bargain... should be cheaper in Delhi.

They have adhesive on one side to stick on any surface. The quality of adhesive is not all that great, so I asked them to fix it with 3M double sided adhesive tape.

They tap into the door switch wiring for power source.

Good job , i find the puddle lamp to be useful in my Aria sometimes just to be sure you are not stepping onto something nasty! But these LED'S must be even more brighter than those OEM puddle lamps. Do post pictures.

Re: My Manza Aura ABS QJet - Truly a Breed Apart

@ Highway Ranger Trust me , the spoiler in that Passat will not look good in Manza , i have seen few Manza's like that.

@cooldhaya

Saw a Manza with spoiler yesterday in the service station. The finishing was very crude, the top surface was not smooth - sort of bad putty work -wavy . Some pictures below. The owner said that it was original accessory from the dealer. ( i doubt it. Even Tata cannot do such a bad finish) Cost 4000 rs.

I will take some pictures of the puddle lights that i have fixed on my car tonight and post it. They are very bright and flood the area near the door.

Even if the finish was good , do you like that kind of spoiler in your car?

IMO its not suiting the Manza very well.

Re: My Manza Aura ABS QJet - Truly a Breed Apart

I was just showing my wife these pictures. We feel that our Manza has a better look without the spoilers. You were right. In some angles it does not even look like a part of the car (looks like we are carrying some extra luggage on top of the dicky, tied to the car )
