Re: My Manza Aura ABS QJet - Truly a Breed Apart

The cost of the AMC varies depending upon the years and kms opted for. The max is 4years/50000kms.

It is standard across all Tata service station and once taken, it is valid across all TASS in India. (you are not tied down to one particular service station)

For Manza it is around 26000 odd for 4 years/40000kms

For Manza its 26,000 rs for 4 years/40,000km and for safari its 16,000 rs for 4 yrs/50,000 km.Does it mean that tata see safari as a more reliable vehicle than manza[confused],
Anyway does anyone know what is the cost of AMC for Indica xeta :please:

Just a clarification.

AMC is not the extended warranty. This is a separate package apart from the extended warranty

Xover,

One reason for Manza AMC at higher price could be because oil costs higher than Safari in Manza.

Re: My Manza Aura ABS QJet - Truly a Breed Apart

Problem with gear lever.

Of late, I found that the gear lever is, sort of, loose. In any gear the lever can be moved sideways, left/right. The movement is around 4 inches. There was no issue with changing gear though.

Reported the problem and gave the car for repairs yesterday. I was told that the problem has been rectified and I went to collect the car in the evening.

The problem was still there and after pointing it out we took the car back inside the workshop. after a lot of consultations and argument with the technicians, they finally traced the issue to the gear cable bracket and did some adjustments. While they were doing that, I found the bushing in the bracket a bit loose and demanded they replace that also. Some wise guy said that it was normal and is made that way. When I demanded that I talk to the workshop manager and said that I was going to take a picture and complain to Tata Motors, the chief mechanic assured me that the part will be replaced and asked me to give them time to get the part from Pune. So, we went to the store and made sure that they are ordering the part.

Now, after the adjustment, the problem has been solved. But, they have still promised to change the bracket as well free of cost.

Wear and tear is showing up slowly with 19250km on the odo. Looks like I have to go for their AMC, if I intend to keep the car for a few years more. [frustration]

Re: My Manza Aura ABS QJet - Truly a Breed Apart

In my Manza before a month, during rainy season I drove over a big pothole, in dark could not spot, at around 35 -40 kmph speed. There was a big thud sound. After that there was heavy noise coming while driving and also during idling. So Took it to concorde , ambattue in chennai. They put it in hydraulic lift and saw that the shield has got crushed and touching with engine. So noise was coming. They bend it back to original position after that i did not notice the noise. Manza GC is very low i think./ Most of times under bosy gets scrapped in bangalore roads.

Recently I m again hearing noise when started engine. I think the fan may be running. Will the fan be running even when it is cold started. Can any manza help if they have noticed anything like this during idling. or the sound is coming because shield is again touching engine. I donot know whether its normal diesel engine sound or something else.
Have to go to TASS KHT motors or concorde to check it this saturday.

Are you sure that radiator fan runs even while engine is cold, it may be because of radiator/fan fuse malfunctioning, better get it checked with some experienced mechanic.

Re: My Manza Aura ABS QJet - Truly a Breed Apart

Just back from Chennai. I had to park my car in the open parking in my MIL apartment and it had to bear the full impact of the cyclone that hit the coast. It is now ready for the 20000 km service.

Took a picture on the way back.
