Full Bumper painting - Rs. 3241/-

I always go to Fortune Motors, Powai (Saki Vihar road). I have read that, comparatively, they are better. Avoid Wasan Motors - Chembur/Deonar, unless you know someone there. they are thugs.
DO you have any idea about Wasan Motors in Kandivali West?[thinking]

Nice pics Raj. I think the place where pics were taken is Bandra. right?

By City driving you mean Powai type traffic city driving or normal city driving where you can cruise at 30-40 kmph?

Yes, thats taken on the Bandra Reclamation.

70% on Powai traffic, that is, 1st & 2nd gear
30% on Mumbai traffic, that is, 30-70 kmph

Nice place and beautiful snaps.

The longest drive I have had in my Pintu is to Lonavala, Uran, etc. What did you exactly mean by the result? you want the drive experience or the FE report?

Aaah, the driving experience - BEAUTIFUL.

Punto is a dream on the highways, at higher speeds. Amazing poise at speeds, mind blowing stability, precise feedback from steering with good turn in, decent NVH (no engine noise but tyre noise is there, which can be eliminated but swapping the crappy GT3 with something better), very comforting ride quality... all these are not expected from a hatchback. All this is because of the beautifully balanced chassis, which speaks of the basic engineering fundamentals which has gone right with the Punto. Kudos to FIAT.

I have driven an i20 & Polo too but cant say the same about them. Polo fares better than the i20 but is not in the league of the Punto.

I love driving my Pintu on the highways.

I must say, I had a very pleasant experience with the TATA-FIAT ASC, Fortune cars, Andheri. I called them yesterday to take a service appointment for today. Yesterday evening I got a confirmation call & then a confirmation sms stating my job card number!

Gave my Pintu for its scheduled second free service today. Had an appointement of 9:30 am, reached the A.S.S. at 9:35 am. Car was parked inside, waited for 10 mins & met the service advisor - a very warm, helpful & well mannered gentleman - Mr. Akshay.

Apart from the second service, I had a few rattles in my car, bonnet lock was getting stuck if I pull the release lever too hard & I wanted to get the suspension checked for any unusual noises.

By about 5 pm, I got a call from the SA that my car is ready & the interior is being vacuumed. Simultaneously, I also got a computer generated sms from Fortune saying that my car's service is done & is ready for delivery. The SA once again messaged me that the car is ready.

When I reached the ASC, as expected, the car was standing near the entrance. Everything was in order. Just that there were some dirt marks on the doors. To solve the rattling, they used padding between the door panels & changed the door clips.

As I drove off, I was under the impression that with the new oil, air filter, etc., the engine will feel more responsive. I did not feel any huge difference as such. I must admit that I was driving in traffic at speeds no more than 30 kmph. This sunday, I am driving to Igatpuri & maybe then on the highways, I would notice some difference. I also noticed some slight (very feeble) rattling still present, but again, I admit that I was driving without music.

Details of service as follows:

1) Engine oil - 4 Lit. - Rs. 2065
2) Oil filter - Rs. 354
3) Fuel filter - Rs. 1776
4) Air filter - Rs. 293
5) AC filter - Rs. 47
6) Adhesive weight strip - Rs. 238
7) Door pad clip - Rs. 24
8) Wheel balancing - Rs. 400

Total - Rs. 5941/-

Good to know that the service experience was good.

Rattling is one major issue which is very hard to rectify, atleast i have experienced this at MASS (though not at HASS). In case of hatchbacks, the major culprit is the parcel tray.

Guys, took my Pintu for a nice highway drive.

My sincere request to all Punto owners - take this car to a ghat section, full of tight twisties. The way this car handles surprised me, even after 1 year of ownership. It is a very very well mannered hatch and is a delight on the highways.

By the way, noticed brake dust for the first time on my Pintu, any reasons to worry?

Raj you were the one who told it was brake dust on my Hawk, during my Goa trip, so if it was in rains its common i guess.

As during my recent trip to Kanyakumari trip in dry weather, there was absolute no brake dust at all.
