What happened to your car then? did you take it to the dealer? As the bumper is made of 3 distinct parts, you can change only parts which are damaged as per child parts strategy .

No buddy today i could not able to go to A.S.S. Also day after tomorrow i am planning for vellore trip. But how can you say bumper is made of 3 parts. It is a single piece. Can you please explain?

Check the clause applicable as per your Ecosport insurance policy,

Its bumper and its plastic or fiber, but 0 dep bumper to bumper policy covers it
But you need to take the car to dealer A.S.A.P as the insurance company surveyor can able to detect when it happened and if it is a old damage they might say we cant cover it as you didnt bring the car on time

So report to your dealer and insurance co fill the claim form to have it done

1.The body coloured part which was affected by the incident.
2. the trapezoidal grille area.
3. the applique area.
Visit the ASS or make necessary actions ASAP DJD because the dealers may later play spoil sport in your plans.

Took my car to dealer. The SA checked the damage and told me that the bumper needs to be replaced. I asked about the total cost of replacing the bumper. The total cost comes around 8K.

Thank god i took 0 dep bumper to bumper insurance. No need to pay a single rupee from my pocket

BTW today again i checked my FE.

Last odo reading : 2386
Today again filled the tank to brim. Odo reading today 3117. Quantity of fuel filled : 35 ltrs.
FE= (3117-2386)/35=20.88 kmpl

No, actually tomorrow holiday. So no use of doing all the formalities today. I asked my SA whether i can come after 2 days. He said no problem. Also they need 2 working days to compete all the work. So if I give my car on Thursday evening then i can take the delivery on Saturday evening.

also i appreciate the dealers response regarding the insurance. They are very help full. No need to run to insurance company no phone calls. Everything will be arranged by the dealer. I will have to simply give the car for the work and take the delivery after completion of the repair work. thats all

Should I be worried? How are your cars holding up?

So guys, reached vellore today. Journey was nice. From trichy to villupuram I was maintaining 100 to 120 kmph. To check the capability of the car I pushed up to 150 just for few seconds. At 150 I felt some vibration. IMO This car is comfortable up to 140. But one thing I must say even though I felt lil bit if vibration at 150 the car was rock solid. There was no nervousness. And from todays experience I can easily say this car will go up to 170. kmph.
