Updated gear shifter rod, as Gear shift has been very tight. and Perfectly served 9 years old Exide battery also replaced to Amaron Black.

Hey buddy, your car is well maintained.
Over the time of your ownership what all major problems you faced with your alto. Will you please mention them and also do list the measures you take to fix them.
Recently there are some problems i am facing with my car.
1. While driving at medium speed I can hear a sound from the engine like 'dug-dug-dug-dug'. Any idea what could be the issue.
2. My car is making some vertical and horizontal movements even at straight roads, Wheel balancing is done at regular interval. what could be the issue?

How to fix it?

Remove the switch and touch the wire with body. If dome light glows, then switch is faulty, just change it.

I own a Alto LX 2003 model. I want to do the following modifications to it

1. Change the steering wheel to a 3 spoke wheel with silver ascents from newer Alto K10 model.

2. Change the gear knob also with silver outlines.

3. Change the instrument cluster.

4. Some changes to the dash. Suggestions please.

Members please guide me whether these modifications are possible and the approximate cost involved.

When I switch on the fog lamps of my alto the glass of the light are getting hot, is it normal?

It is normal, as it is made by plastic and light was hot.

Engine oil changed today as DIY, stock 20/40 shell used, Odometer shows 69003 kilometers.

Total cost involved: 900

Covered 70k and completed 9 years in road, gifted a new steering wheel from swift.

Steering looks nice. Ain't it come leather wrapped?

Nop, it is not coming with leather wrapping, I put a steering cover from old steering, both are same diameter btw
