Changed both strut bush kit and barings on the front suspension. The kit costed me 350 for each and 850 for reconditioning. Fixed door vibrations and steering sound. My car is running butter smooth now.

My car's entire tail pipe is rusted and it needed a replacement, Folks please Recommend a free flow ex-host. BTW what is the lifespan of an arrowhead stock replacement air filter?
what have you done with doors ? to reduce vibrations and noise from it

The best part was, they handled it in a friendly manner. I think because I am known person to them, Cleaned cooling coil blower and given back as it is @7PM. Without fixing the dashboard fascia/ICE. [clap]

Total Cost with discount: 1700;

I fixed back everything. ICE wires was cut but I fitted it properly. Wiper switch back-light seems to be disconnected, that I will have to fix this weekend :)

Popular Maruti's commitment to customer is highly appreciated. Even on a Sunday they helped me for this. Thanks Guys [:D]

Had a long trip, with a full-tank petrol, my car covered 525 kilometers. Fuel efficiency 16.5 kmpl with 75% AC on high range roads with frequent gear shifts!. [:D]

Alto is under powered even 2 peoples and AC. [frustration]

Four door power window kit will cost you around 8-10k and two doors around 4-6k. Go for with auto roll up module.
Service on 60k will be full service(all fluids and filters) + some replacement if needed, depending on condition . Check suspension , all belts including timing belt, replace fuel filter if not done earlier , radiator flushing , get your AC system cleaned properly .

I had changed back-light of my Altos meter console to Red. First I thought to have a separate thread but somebody in TAI already done this and as there is no room for a new thread, I am sharing the details here.

First I was changed those bulbs only, but the brightness was not like the stock setup so I removed front panel and removed green coloring from that using sand paper.

Sharing some pics, please have a look

Covered 60k this weekend
60k.jpg

Last month I went to ASS to inquire about the 60k service, but as the car aged 8 years, they insisted to do 80k Service instead. After discussing to Devil and Varun about this matter, and with their advice's I decided to do 60K service as a DIY. Brought parts as per the manual from MGP. took 3 hrs to complete the whole things, but at the end of the day I smiled with satisfaction.

Shell Rimula R1 3 liters- 780

Parts Brought from MGP
Air filter
NGK plugs
Oil filter
Orange color bulbs for the meter console
Concentrate Coolant 4 Litter ( 2 litters are enough with 50% water)
Total : 1350 + 780 = 2130

Before removing Air Filter Box

_20150705_222844.JPG
Essential parts for the service, Tyre removed for the better access to oil nut

20150704_114618.jpg
Plugs points are deep, Needed a large 17mm box to remove

Preparation of oil filter fitment

Oil filer fixed

Tightened with the wrench

Flushed radiator

IMG_20150704_111334220_HDR.jpg
Cleaning with water and filled coolant with 50% water, but after flushing and filling, I heard a gargling sound from behind the dashboard while starting the car, I removed radiator cap after idling sometimes to remove air bubbles and filled coolant again!

Meter console color changed to orange to sync with tachometer!

I took this pictures in my mobile as I don't have a proper camera and anybody there with me to help, but there is detailed thread with each steps on oil change DIY from Aneesh in TAI to help! Please do search [:)]

Exhaust end-can changed! Got a piece from a friend and fixed as a DIY. Old pipe removal was the main huge task. Nuts are rusted, used rust removal spray.

Look at the old one below, rusted and noisy

Yes I read that question before you ask., "How did you access under-body?"

This is how Juggad but serves that purpose anyway!
