The Blue boy Clutch had become Hard & Sticky.
Hyundai SVC replaced Clutch Cable. Cable cost is 700. Total bill was 1000.

However clutch is not to my liking. There's Dead zone before clutch is actually activated. I mean first 2 inches pedal travel is really Light (like disconnected), Then clutch becomes suddenly heavy for next 2 inches (here is when clutch works). Any ideas folks?
This could be due to worn clutch plates/release bearing, how many KM has your car done?

Perhaps. I have asked Hyundai mechanic to check it once again. The clutch is not sticky after cable change, but still strange.

1>The Headlights of Blue Boy have been Upgraded as follows-

Shilan Cree XML2-U2 LED headlamp
Low beam-20w, High beam 30w.
Brightness- 2000Lm Low, 3000Lm High.

Initial results appear promising. The CUtoff & Beam pattern appears correct. The hotspot is much wider now. Atleast twice the size of OEM bulb. Instant ON & low power consumption are a plus. The Lamps are in testing phase. I will check beam alignment tonight & Report back.

2> I have ordered a DRL sensor on Aliexpress. I am looking forward to brighter DRLs once I receive the relay.
Thanks.

The Blue boy made a 250km trip to nearby city.

1>I tried shifting at 3~3.5k RPM as per the suggestions of few TAI'ns. Vehicle feels peppy and climbs to 130 quite easily. The performance is now really better but not as good as XUV.

2> Got wheel alignment done as Steering was veering of to the left. Alignment charges Rs 200. Got all issues fixed.

3> Got Clutch setting done. Clutch is 100% better and all sponginess is gone.

4> I was told that i10 does not have idle setting. Can someone confirm this? I would like to raise the idle slightly at Vehicle clips on uphill starts or large speedbreakers.

5> Drove 3 hours continuous with CREE LED H4 bulb on my i10. The performance is good and beam pattern is accurate. I am assured about the quality & Reliability of these bulbs. I did not feel the need to use HID fogs with this upgrade.

Interestingly, High beam glare is actually less than Standard OEM H4 bulb!

6> People noticed my Racing stripes and liked/commented on them.

7> Got glass buffing done! The front windshield had micro Wiper scratches that really made night driving a pain. The Glare used to spread into arcs. The Buffing was done by Professionals at Waxoyl. Charges 700.

They appear to use some kind of ceramic Paste (I guess its cerium oxide) with really high speed rotary buffer to get the work done.
The results are FANTASTIC![clap]. Glass became totally new!

I would like to preset my experience of Using SHILAN H4 CREE 30w LED bulbs on my i10 Blue Boy.

1> Instant ON helps a lot. One may feel Even Halogens are instant ON, However only after upgrading to LED one can understand how Fast LED is. The LED develops full output in a split second, while Halogens ramp up a wee bit slower. Even Shift to High-low is instant with LEDs.

2> The Beam pattern with LED was my biggest concern. However, i am utterly pleased to report that LED has maintained the factory headlight Beam pattern.

Hyundai uses slightly different beam pattern for Left & Right Headlamps. The Left hand pattern extends a little more into bushes & siding, also hotspot is a little taller. Cutoff at Right hand is flatter and slightly lower.
The Hyundai always had 'Soft' cutoffs that's more suitable for Mixed Indian driving conditions.

I am pleased that all these features have been carried over by LED bulb without any change.

3> The glare in Both Low or High beam is LESSER than Factory headlamps.
Yes, you read that right.[evil].

4> My High beam assists , which use a relay to gain trigger from high beam, still continue to work properly. The Trigger is taken by drilling a small hole in Dust cap, and attaching wires to High beam terminals of Bulb.

5> I am yet to drive in rain, so I will reserve my comment on that. I do not like the 6000k color of these LED bulbs. They do look nice though.

6> The total Light output currently on my Blue boy is as follows-

Cree LED H4- 2500x2= 5000 Lumens
HID Fog Lamps H27, 2800x2= 5600 Lm
Halogen h3 High beam assists- 1100x2= 2200 Lumens

Total output-
12,800 Lumens.
The Low beam, Glare free output shall be about 10,000 Lumens.

7> My next upgrade perhaps will be to swap H3 halogens to Cree LED for better output & lower power.

Renewed the Insurance on i10.
Premium this time came 1.5x that of last one. Its this White collar Robbery & Taxes that are the bane of India.

I agree with the insurance amount. I paid 19.xxx last year for my verna and this time it still was 19.xxx [frustration] When asked my agent told me it's because the zero depreciation charges keeps ok increasing as the car gets older.

And what about the battery indicator ? Turned white ?

Its not the Zero Dep charges mate, its the TP charges (Taxes) That keep increasing.
The vehicle IDV keeps reducing but premium each year is increasing! And the increases are not small by any angle!

Worse hit are our Commercial vehicles (Vans, Pick ups) where Insurance charges shot up from 19k to about 25k Per vehicle.

Yes, The battery indicator has turned white. Does that show a problem? The car still starts in a single crank & all electricals are working fine though.

I wonder why the icon will turn to white. It should remain red no matter what [thinking]
Ordered the bulbs which you mentioned in the other thread. Will update once received.
The indicator shall stay green in Optimal Conditions. Red means low electrolyte.
I called the customer care & deler sent one of the men to check the batttery. He checked all cells with a hydrometer, He then proceeded to crank the car 5~6 times back to back. The battery was deemed as good. Just that running is very less.

The person suggested a long trip, and I agree 100%[:)]
