Actually they don't have in stock. Why don't u ask Fiat ASS people to show the faulty hatch door.

I already did, he said they have sent it back. I knew from very moment "when he said the door we received was damaged and have been sent back", that this guy is biding some time as they are not having item in stock.

Just received call from Body Shop SA. The boot door has arrived and I will get my car tomorrow evening (Hope so.) [:D]

Called SA at body shop and he informed that color is not getting dry due to weather conditions, so car might be delivered tomorrow. [anger][cry]

Don't push, after paint, will have rub it using 3M rubbing to give it smooth look and this is possible only on dry paint.

Congrats on your Italian Beauty, dharmesh. I feel that the Punto is the best designed hatch. Its looks are excellent.

I've heard negative opinions about Fiat A.S.S. What is your opinion?

FIAT A.S.S or can say TATA A.S.S is not good. But it's not bad either. The main problem is the availability of spare parts. If this issue is resolved by FIAT/TATA then we can get car service/repaired on time. But when buying FIAT PUNTO I knew that I have to deal with not so good A.S.S, but still bought it because of the driving pleasure it gives me keeping aside all the problems related to A.S.S.

Yes banged really badly. Hoping to get beauty back today. Will post some pics. Beauty is exact 9 months old today. [clap]. Enjoyed every bit of her.

@dharmesh: If I were in your place, I would have gone to the service centre to have a look while they were repainting my Tuscan Wine Punto, just to ensure that the body shop personnel do not have any nasty surprise in store for me when I go to take delivery.

I am visiting him daily to check the status, But yesterday I was busy with work and din't have much time to go to service centre. I am planning to visit him today morning to check the car and he promised the delivery today evening. [;)]

I just visited TASS and to my shock as you said Sam they had surprise for me. Painting work for ym car has not started yet. Was just about to start, workers were sticking paper to the parts of car which were not meant to be painted. On asking SA said, he got confused between my car and other car. Now he promised to give delivery by day end today. Lets see, if not today then there is going to be big hulla gulla at Fortune Motors tomorrow morning. :-)

dharmesh, This is the case with most of the body shop people. Recently my friend left his Fiesta for a simple paint job (no dent nothing) but still the issue was dragged for couple of days. It was just a matter of few hours job!

I suggest, if possible take off from your work for few hours and be there at body shop personally. You insist that you will leave only after taking delivery of the car. Put pressure on the body shop manager as well. Believe me, things work at rapid pace when you are present personally.
