Re: My Beautiful Beast Punto MJD 1.3: 16 Months 28,000Kms and Still Going Strong

Driver seat for the Punto is flawed. No under thigh support what so ever. On my recent trip to rajasthan I had to keep pillow under my thigh so that it does not pain. There are no place to keep even 500 ml bottles. The cup holder are useless as well. There are 2 cup holders in front of gear knob, but if you keep anything there, It will hamper your gear slotting.
Why you no see that before buying it?
And this one every one knows, Punto is damn sluggish.
at what speeds?

Why clutch press is very long only GOD and FIAT knows.
A wrong person on right seat will always find a reason to complain.try a race car and see why.

BTW what is that stone guard repair charge of 850?

Hey Dharmesh, thanks for sharing the service details.

Regarding the cleaning guys, you know sometimes we customers have to be kinda friendly with them, I mean quite a lot friendly. I have seen this many times, if you take it lightly and treat them better, they would be more than happy to serve you promptly.
I am saying this from my own experience. I talk with them in tone of 'yaar aise kar do' or 'mast kaam kiya hai' all such things (I hope you understand what I am saying).
I am sure you would also not be behaving rudely with them, but sometimes customers also have to take it patiently and give those guys another chance.

I hope I am not being too charitable towards the workshop people, and you would take it in right spirit!!

Also, can you tell me the regular service bill out of the total bill you mentioned?
I always do it. Actually I did the same at first instance. But of no use. So really was pissed off at that time and left from there. SA's reply was "Sir I informed you earlier only, we will only vacuum your car, not clean it".[anger]

I never talk to anyone rude. Never in my life I had done this, till it is actually required. That was the reason I left from there and put a mail to resolve the issue.

Actual bill is something around 77XX. then rest is payment for brake pads replacement + stone guard repair and labor charges for the same.

Why you no see that before buying it?
I knew it before buying as well. But this just for info of others who dont know it.

To start from stand still, but usually overcome it with changing gears at bit higher rpm.

A wrong person on right seat will always find a reason to complain.try a race car and see why.
I never complain in my life. But that does not means, what I own is flawless or perfect. Long clutch of Punto is known to everyone. Nothing new that I have written down here.

BTW what is that stone guard repair charge of 850?
That's under body scratch guard, it was damaged heavily and bent inwards, so they repaired the same.

BTW, Today crossed 30000 KMs on ODO. Went for 2 days weekend trip to Igatpuri to Manas Resort. Sorry no pics of beauty were taken on this tour.

Been to Fortune Motors, Powai, today again. And this I was treated like a King. They cleaned my car in no time and handed back to me. I also talked to Sanjay Chandra, Stake holder in Fortune Motors. He was also very soft spoken person, He apologized for the issue and in return I appreciated their promptness in resolving the issue. I also got the help from few FIAT owners, a few call from their side to Fortune Motors. And my work was done smoothly.

But as when I took delivery, a yellow coil shaped light started blinking on instrument cluster. Called the mechanic, he informed one of the four coil (or something similar I dont remember the name) has gone off. They have ordered one, and will call me back when it is with them.

I was just saying it from my own experiences and also complaining leaves a bad taste with us customers as well workshop people. Anyways, these are some trivial aspects of servicing.

Agree to you friend. But there is always different ways to tackle TASS. Earlier I have got my all work done by being frankly but this time it was of no use so had to go a step ahead.

Re: My Beautiful Beast Punto MJD 1.3: 16 Months 28,000Kms and Still Going Strong

Crossed 32K KMs last week.

Got the glow plug replaced yesterday and also some minor issues. Glow plug went kaput was reported on 30th April 2013. As usual they din't have stock so they ordered it for me. But after waiting for a month there was no call from them. SO I called them and was informed that it has arrived but they forgot to inform me. [anger]

So took an appointment of Monday and got the issues resolved.

To my surprise they cleaned the car from inside and outside way better than what they did during third free service.

Ha ha. Pardon me for posting this but couldn't help - if something hasn't broken on your Fiat, it's about to.

Dharmesh bhai, tell them to eat Chyawanprash. Aids memory.

Let me tell you it was. [lol].

Th rear wash sprayer was not working so got it fixed during 3rd free service. It stopped working again. So decided to get ti fixed when I go for Glow Plugs replacement. They fixed it. Me very happy.

Then me "Happy Dharmesh" sit in my car and try testing the rear washer spray, it is working perfectly alright. Then I tested front one and it din't work. [lol].

Called SA, He opened the bonnet did some pipe adjustment and it was working again. Reason "Saar pipe fold ho gaya tha" (Pipe was bent inside bonnet blocking the water flow).

Alas, Everything is alright for the time being. SO I can claim that if at all there was any Jinx, it got away in face of that small front spray issue. [evil]

Punto's left read door isn't opening from outside. Another visit to TASS.[anger]

The same number of times I would have visited any Temple, God would have been happy and graceful on me with lotz of blessings, instead I am visiting TASS. [sleep]

Try offering a coconut and 101 rupees to the TASS guys this time. Maybe that would work.

Got verification call from TASS and informed that left rear door is not opening, He asked me to visit TASS tomorrow.

When I cam home from office, I tried opening the door and it did open, but something is not right about it. It is bit jammed and requires more effort to open. As it is I will visit TASS tomorrow again.

Been to TASS the issue is being fixed within 10 odd minutes and car is back with me. [;)]

I am sometimes overwhelmed [clap] with the approach of TASS and sometimes shocked. [surprise]
