Here is the offer ad in today's hindustan times.Check it before you finalise the deal.Since you are buying comfortline, you are not eligible for Breeze edition. So you can opt for another offer of Free insurance/free accessories/exchange bonus/low EMI / Free AMC. I think one has to choose a few from this. Check it.

Good Ashikawa. You are always there to help / assist fellow members as far as possible with their doubts related to Polo. Help me understand why cannot anyone buying a comfortline is not eligible for on going breeze offer ?

And when are you going to install CNG ? I think, I read a long back that you have plans for the same. Correct me if I am wrong. Thanks

Thanks for the kind words. The knowledge is useless, if it is not helpful to others.

Let me correct myself on this - Thanks for pointing out

BREEZE Edition is available with following cars/ models:

1. Polo - Trendline / Comfortline / Highline / 1.6 Highline ( Only Petrol )

2. Vento - Trendline ( Both Petrol & Diesel )

@PoloUser Sorry for the mistake. Breeze edition is available on all petrol models.

I checked BREEZE Edition with the VW dealer, Sales Rep told me that either
I can take BREEZE Edition(32k, Breeze stickers, sensors etc...)
or I can go for a Free Insurance(18k) and Free Acessories(15k)
I forgot to ask Sales Rep that can I buy AMC and extended warrenty later say after 1/2 months after the delivery?
Can you give some information on this?
Just to inform VW was giving offers in September , October , November , hope they give in December also.

AMC can be purchased anythime before the 15k kms/ 1 year service. As far as extended warranty is concerned there are doubts about its availability later. Because i saw a VW circular stating that vehicles bought after 1st April 2011 need to buy extended warranty at the time of purchase itself. For vehicles bought before 31st March 2011 this option was open upto 30th August 2011.
Clarify this thing with your local dealer.

And yes you are right both the options are open to you though i favour the discount/insurance instead of Breeze.

The items given with Breeze are
1. parking sensor - 4k
2. navon satelite navigation system - Price unknown/ usefulness unknown
3. seat covers - 5-6 k ( You can get aftermarket at around 3k) and pillows etc(useless things)
4. stickers - Useless

So i will advise you to go with the other option of 15k accessories + insurance . Try to negotiate to give this amount as cash discount. Also see if AMC is available in lieu of accessories than go for it.

@ashikawa did you had first servicing of the car?
As you got the car delivery in Feb 2011 (less than a year / 15k (have you completed?) ).
If yes how the A.S.S response of the dealer?

Guys who have participated in this thread can you share
After Sales Service feedback/review from those
who own a Polo or your friends/relatives own Polo?

Thanks in advance.

No, My first service is due in Feb 2012. I will not be able to clock 15k kms. by that time. In fact A.S.S. is a lot better than the pre sale. You will find better people there. Though you can browse other forums to get idea on services becasue there are a lot of people who got there first service done.

Ok, I am going to visit a friend who owns a Polo this weekend , I will get some information on the A.S.S from him. He just mentioned presales was like a horror film. Dealers(Some , NOT ALL) appointed by VW are pretty notorious. Will get back this weekend...

Search for a new car

13. Got VW usb music system and parking sensor from dealer. Both performing good.
Hi ashikawa,

Am new around here, but found your review of the Polo - really useful! Have been planning a new car from around Oct 2011 and much like your list - finally came down to three options - Toyota Liva , VW Polo and Honda Jazz. Just when we brought it down to 2 - Honda Jazz and VW Polo - Honda has stopped bookings so we are down to just 1 - the VW Polo 1.2 Highline. My few negatives are the rear space and the music system. Am not a great music fan - but who will CDs around today!! Otherwise Polo is difficult not to fall in love with!
You mentioned you got a USB music system from the dealer - what is it and did you have to pay an extra amount for it? Thats what the initial talk we had with the SA said.

Can you get back as soon as possible - would really like to finish the car hunt and buying by this year end - the old trusted Maruti 800 is now like an ICU patient!

Hi, Polo is the best option available as on date.Mine is a kenwood music system:Music System Kenwood Single AUX/USB with FR Spk VW product code "6R0 346 USB IND" comes with front speakers and one has to buy a pair of rear speakers saperately. Music system is good enough to my satisfaction level. There might be some new systems also added recently. Attaching a price list of accessories for your info.
In addition if you buy now you can go for BREEZE offers or alternatively other bouquet offer. For more info. see this link....... Welcome to Volkswagen India

Thanks for the prompt reply. Yes, Polo seems to be the best option now! Esp considering the deluged Honda thailand factory images that i have seen published.

A further doubt i have is re the Breeze offers - what exactly does it mean? the things being offered are frankly quite worthless! I dont know how the Navon Satellite Imaging works - what does it mean when it says it has Blue tooth? And i dont know if they will be willing to totally replace all articles offered with others. If any idea do reply. Secondly how is the Breeze offer different from Bouquet offer? Was not able to get much info from the VW site.
Lastly - i understood you only paid extra for the rear speakers?

Its just so confusing all this - and the feeling that you constantly get of whether you are going to be taken for a 'ride'!!

Am seeing quite a few Toyota Liva on the road and finding their 'smile' very charming - if only their insides matched up!

That offer is good for vento due to the music system on offer. But i quite not impressed with seat covers (6k)/sensor(4k)/ floor mats(1.5k) / navigation(8-10k) / Pillows(1k).
Secondly how is the Breeze offer different from Bouquet offer? Was not able to get much info from the VW site.
Simple either you go for breeze or bouquet. I will advise bouquet. Insurance( 17 k) / AMC ( don't know its 1 year or 3 year (6.5k if 1 year /20k if 3 year) / Low EMI finace option / Free accessories (15 k here you have the liberty to choose)/ Exchange bonus. I think you can opt any 3 out of this 5. Anyday bouquet is better than breeze.

yep you got it right.

Now your confusions might have got removed.

I too liked the outside. But the inside is a big put off.[frustration] Also the quality is so poor inside.

Thanks quite a few confusions sorted out! Now have to go and bell the cat over the weekend! Hope bouquet offer is still open. Will ask if more advice needed. I think if opting for a nationalised bank loan - insurance offered by them is a better offer.

First of all congratulations a lot. Do start your ownership thread once you get delivery of your lovely Polo.

1. Music system. My advise is to go with VW because aftermarket shop normally don't have the required connectors and today or tomorrow it will be detected by VAG-COM and may raise warranty issues.Outside its cheaper but i preferred peace of mind.
Alternatively you can ask them whether they will fit it if you buy from outside, then you need to pay some 600-700 and there will be no warranty issues.

2. Mud flaps are good with VW.

3. Solar film you can get outside, but i have my own reservations about it such as night vision and vision in rainy season so i did not get it. Be careful when installing on windshield, water should not spoil ECU.

4.Seat covers you can get outside i got it for 2500 only. I chose loose fit against tight fit as it requires poking hooks in original seats which get rusted later and comes out if not fitted properly. Secondly i don't like any kind of messing up with original things.

For anything you are getting outside, be there yourself and watch closely when they work on your car.

And congrates once again. You have booked the hottest hatch available in India.[clap]Do feel free to discuss anything if you need.
