Re: Monthly Discounts / Schemes on Indian Cars.

Hi All,

Want to update about offers for Brio S MT for the year end. Approached several dealers and the best I could see was -

1. 15k Cash Discount
2. Insurance @ Re 1/- (worth around 15K, i guess)
3. RSA+2 year extended warranty @ Re 1/- (worth around 10k)
4. accessories like matting, mud flaps, mirror lock and couple of coatings (teflon and anti rust)

But I am not getting the desired color. Though, the discounts seem to be decent but still in a fix to go for it right now or to go for a 2013 manufactured model in a month (certainly with lesser discounts and possibly with a price hike but the desired color and probably greater resale value).

Any comments/suggestions are welcome.

Hi Agragul,
Me to fall on the same Situation . Even though discounts quota from Honda SMT(O) is good. I didn't get UT color. Dealer force me to get Red & Blue, which i didn't like it.

Now Should I wait for Amaze in April or 2013 Brio in Feb. total confusion :-(

Vijay,What is the waiting period for Swift,Dzire and Ertiga at Ahmedabad?
Usually its anywhere between 3 to 6 months for both the swifts, but being year end and to clear up the stock or dont know the reason for their calls but yes all the said diesel cars were readily available with prompt payment i guess.

Tata trucks go at hefty discount of upto Rs 5 lakh as inventories pile up

Company sources say Tata Motors's Jamshedpur plant is now operating at 35-40 per cent capacity thanks to the inventory pile-up. In November last year, the company was forced to announce production cuts at the Jamshedpur facility for more than 6 days, while its Pune plant was shut for 3 days to align production with demand. The sources say the drop in demand is drastic for heavy-duty trucks in the range of 12 to 25 tonnes.

Honda dealerships in Mumbai are offering discounts worth upto 30K on 2013 manufactured Brio. Out of 30K, around 15K is the insurance (they call it 'Honda Assure', I guess this is by the company itself) + 15K offered as Cash discount (Corp+Loyalty whatever you can call it. I guess this is by the dealer).

Fiat is offering heavy discounts on Linea and Punto. But,the manufacture year is 2010 and 2011.Too shame for selling an 2-3 year old vehicle.

Considering the car depreciates the most the first 2 years (20% in year 1), its not much discount in real terms.
