Re: Maruti Suzuki Ritz LDI -Glistening Gray-Ownership Review

Hmm,

I noticed this on my car this morning at the rear door. Some stupid boy has done it seems[cry] hope you are able to see those marks
To me, the scratches look pretty shallow, so rubbing work followed by a nice polish job would bring the things back to normal.

@Vijay, Akash

No there are just on the surface and those can be removed easily I think, but see how some body really does it on a good car, that worries me more a stupid attitude of people and careless act[anger]

There are some sadist/fools on the roads RK sir. They just take any sharp material and do this. My M800 had a big one [deep one too] on the bonnet.

My sparky too has some. I think they are small in size as well not so deep.

@ Gurrala,

I agree. For a car lover its really painfull to see such atrocious acts by people. Dont worry, luckily its not deep enough. I remember once seeing a black Honda City car with scratches on its entire body. Yes, right from hood to boot, left doors to right doors. I was shocked to see. It looked like act of some miscreants on road. My heart bled for that City owner [frustration]

@Carfreak, Yes you are right, I always feel bad whenever I see such thing with any car. I really wait for an opportunity when I get a stupid in my hands while doing such things.
Yes. Damage is not that deep and it can be seen only from very close and can be covered with polishing

@Vijay

I have posted this question, when I have seen on some other thread some body posted about accessories of some other car, which was very informative with prices.

Now I am looking for front power windows, and rear head rests at the moment and also would like to know on the full floor matting

also would like to know on the full floor matting
I have got the full floor matting done for my Alto. There are two school of thoughts for this. Have seen few people recommending against matting. For eg - Cauvery ford people suggested not to go for floor carpetting to my friend's Fiesta. Car seat accessory owner also suggested the same. He was like go for it only if one is really bad in maintaining a car. Else normal floor mats would do. Thing is it gets difficult to locate any fluid leak in floors. I know a case of Fiesta's AC pipe leak which went unnoticed due to floor carpetting. Later OEM carpet was completely damaged due to soaking and it had to be changed. Also floor mats wont stick to this mat. At time it gets irritating while driving because of movement. Only advantage I see its that its very easy to clean & maintain a clean floor. Thats it.

So give it a thought before finalising.

@Carfreak

Thank you for your post on full mat, yes this is the main reason I did not go for it since last 2 years, but at times when my daughter(4+) always try and eat something during travel and makes it dirty with pop corn, bingos, kurkure etc.,[lol], only at those times, I feel I could have done it, other wise it is better not doing it.

^^ Instead, you can try 3D mats. Though these are touch expensive, it fits your car floor area perfectly without gaps. Looks neat and easy to clean as well.

I know how difficult it is to manage kids in the car [lol]

Yeah, I will enquire about those 3D mats here and go for them soon.

Yes, it is very difficult to manage my daughter, if any time you want a reason to sell your Punto, then tell me, I will leave my daughter for 20 minutes in your car and you done[lol]
