Re: Maruti Ritz LDi G.Gray Update !!

a small update friends, My Ritz is close to 18000km now and while braking I hear a small "whistle" sound, what is it ??
Is that a wooshhhh kind of whistle or a metallic kind of? If the latter, get the disks checked, there might be a small stone between the disks and the calipers.

Congratzz for completing 18k. I recommend you to get it check now only. Just because precaution is better than cure. Just to avoid any major mishap.

Did you spot any decrease in the brake oil level, could be a minor leak in the cylinders that is expelling oil+air(thought air is tough to believe) everytime you brake.

I guess it's the dust particles which are stuck between the calipers, a visit to maruti ASS and 15 minutes of your time should sort out this problem.

Gurrala sir very scant updates on your ownership thread you arent doing too much justice to the Ritz
On a lighter note, is your ritz parked next to an XUV (how else could the brake noise disease come!)?[;)]

I hope the break noise issue in XUV is not contagious. [lol]

IR, good joke Sir, but truth is My Ritz is always parked in my office and XUV 500 is parked just next to my Office, so I cannot rule out some thing fishy here[;)]

Sorry, As I really do not get much time to update my Ritz as it is parked in office and I am always busy in office in front of my laptop[lol]. Yes I will take her out soon and have some nice pics there. Just see one pic where my BILs Vista is also standing beside.

RK sir, i hope you found out the real reason behind that whistle sound. If not rest assured, my Alto too is facing similar issue after i came back from a long drive day before yesterday. It is indeed due to dust/dirt accumulation. A thorough cleaning job would bring things back to normal.
