re: Maruti Suzuki Ritz LDI Ownership Review - 2 Years, 30000 Kms - Zero Issues !!

Yes New Ritz is good than the old where it has new color options, little different in look, more refined engine and more space here and there.

Out of Swift and Ritz, I will choose Ritz(my personal choice) and in new version too. So choosing Ritz is a fair deal and if he can go for Ertiga it is even more good where the body roll issue will not be there. Ask him to choose a ABS model and tell him to change the tyres to 185 section immediately after buying

would look for a car which has enough space at the same time not a tall boy where I get irritated with the body roll, so my pick would be a good spacious sedan in future which has good GC OR a SUV which has bit less body roll issue.
@Gurrala74 I have driven ertiga and it has equal amount of body roll as ritz, It maybe more but definitely not less.
If you have a problem with Ritz's body roll it will be even worse in all ladder on frame suv's like scorpio/safari.Even monocque SUV's/MUV's like xuv/innova/duster have more body roll than ritz.
Upgrade to wider rubber in ritz and you should feel pretty confident despite of some body-roll in ritz.
To be honest body-roll is very much controlled in ritz than in many other cars.It is only more when you compare to lower cars like all sedans/swift etc.

I drove MrRangers Ertiga on last friday for fair amount of kilometers, so I am sorry to say that I am not able to agree with you on the body roll part of Ertiga and Ritz as you mentioned.

Hi Gurrala,

After going through this thread, now I am inclined towards getting one. I just wanted to know whether Ritz has any rattling issues overtime (since most of the maruti cars have rattling issues).

^^Maruti is famous for rattling, but the present cars are much much better. I am lucky my Ritz does not have them even as it travels in bad roads on village side every week

Thanks so much for replying. I decided to buy one and will book VXI next month. I would like to upgrade the stock tyres to 185/70/14, as I heard from SE that VXI comes with 165/80/14. If it's safe to upgrade, please suggest me one good brand which has good grip and next to nill road noise, and should be suitable for Bangalore craters/roads.

Yokohamas if you encounter bad roads
If you don't then michelins.
On the cheaper ( but good ) side apollo accelere

And yes it is perfectly okay to upgrade

Thank you Petroholic. I will check out all the three brands mentioned by you. Can you please let me know which one, out of the three, provide less road noise?

Ayaz, recently i upgraded to Michelin 185/70 R14. Very good tyres and has less noise compared to stock JK's. As RK mentioned Accelere is a VFM option too.

^^Ayaz, I found BS Turanza are good with little hard compound which will withstand to bad roads too. I feel Michelin are good but too soft and wear out little faster. Yes go for the upgrade for sure for good grip on road.
