Correction sbhokray, mine is 41kms+ and still going without a puncture. [lol]
On behalf of you I say "TouchWood" [;)]

That is really great to know that no Puncture up to 41k. I got puncture in 10K (wonderful part of tubeless tyres was, I drove with a nail for more than 1000 KMs without any problem. I noticed less air twice and refilled it. Third time when I notice I got suspicious and checked. Found a big nail)

Yes sethu its touchwood indeed but i would attribute it to the hardness of JK tyres and the terrain i travel. Having said that i also take proper care of all wheels like check air pressure once in every 20 days, proper wheel rotation & balancing (done once in every 6000kms) etc which leads to increased life of rubber.

The punctures and the uneven wear of tyres is mainly due to the negligence of owners monitoring the tyre pressures/balancing and alignment let it be any brand tyre and hard or soft. The tyre soft/hardness only matters to the handling, road grip, braking of the vehicle.

I have just done 5K on my Waggie and I already had one Puncture (at 4.5K). However It is expected because of the rough patch of road and construction dominated area that I have to travel through. Again thanks to Tubeless tyres I knew the puncture from Monday and waited till Sunday to get it done and only one refilled air.

re: Maruti Suzuki Ritz LDI Ownership Review - 2 Years, 30000 Kms - Zero Issues !!

Nicely maintained car. My alto also had no issues till first 2 yrs of ownership. Started few minor niggles after that and after 4 yrs maintainance cost shot up. Hope, that doesn't happen to you.
In my 7 yrs of ownership and 60K+ running the following were chaged:
1. Rear Arm - twice (may be due to weather/bad quality water used for car cleaning issue)
2. Clutch Assembly - Twice
3. All OEM tyres (upgraded to tubeless) - I have done Wheel Balancing and Wheel Alignment on-time always
4. AC pipe (means Refrigerant fill-up)
5. Within 2 months of point 4, I found AC is not ooling again. There was another fault in AC, changed that part as well and had to fill up the refrigerant also (had to pay again for refrigerant). [anger]
6. Front Suspension, Steering Rack and Pinion
Niggles:
1. Repeated problem of Horn not working (Horn Socket problem, changed socket but still not much of luck) [frustration]
2. Whenever I have visited ASS, always came back with changing quite a number of bulbs replaced here and there
3. Beyond 60, I used to find that the sspeed is not increasing. I fervently said Maruti ASS to change the clutch to resolve the issue, they said clutch adjustment would be fine. But that didn't work, then I forcefully changed the Clutch by again visiting Maruti ASS and it worked. What is the use of ASS then, I don't know! [confused]
Still, overall I am okay with my Alto and didn't feel like selling the car when I bought Tata Manza.

^^I had a M800(2006 model) before this car which I sold after using 5 years and 60k kilometers. Touch wood I never had a single problem with it and even after 2 years of selling it, the new owner keep talking to him and appreciate about my car[:)].

Ritz is excellent so far and never put me in any kind of trouble, just fill the fuel and run. Consistent FE, no maintenance, same kind of power punch. It is really VFM car. Yes there are some uncomfortable things like bad tyres, less grip and body roll which are design issues.

Low end torque for Ritz petrol in city conditions with HVAC ON is good enough but in ghat sections with steep inclines its not very inspiring. Have personally experienced this during my April trip to Kodai. The car was having 4 people on board and in some of the steep inclines i faced few problems.

Yes, Pravin, the Ooty trip will be with my Ritz for sure, expect it anytime in new year 2014[;)].

In city driving, I found the low end torque is not that good in Ritz diesel, as you need to hold the clutch all the time other wise it keep moving ahead, so I really never like Ritz diesel in city bumper to bumper traffic.

On ghats and steep inclines the multijet power is excellent, once you maintain the 2000 rpm then it lifts like a rocket. Only issue I found is its road grip due to tall boy design and crap 165 section tyres is really annoying[frustration]

^^ Looks like you are having fun with the Ritzy.

Your pearls of wisdom keep bamboozling me though, i didnt quite understand the clutch issue, if the vehicle moves forward with no accelerator input with just the clutch released , is that a low end torque issue - can you shed some light ? Also you say its excellent on ghats , sounds conflicting - sorry my grey cells are turning white, so i am slow these days.

Also tall boy design causing road grips issue - what speeds do you corner ? I am guessing it becomes a rickshaw at corners with your driving skills!

@IR

Hahahahaha that is the power of my english which makes you worry each time, okay here I explain in a better way.

Clutch issue nothing to do with low end torque. I mean to say that with that kind of movement without applying accelerator is really good at times and annoying some times when the traffic in front of you doesn't faster inline with the moment of my car where I need to press the clutch pedal and hold it to maintain a safe distance.

Now coming to the low end torque, which is not good in Ritz diesel as many times I need to shift the gear up to make it going, other wise it knocks with the kind of speed I am in.

Please read excellent on ghats separately as I was talking about its power to climb up when it is fully loaded without any issue as the required RPM is reached then it steers you through.

OT, my grey cells are turning white more faster than you, so you are not able to catch up with my words buddy[;)] "my management exams were easy than your question paper "

Yes, I am having fun with my Ritz as I understood it well and ofcourse she too, so I know how to play with it in different situations !!

Some people can bend spoons with their minds, you can bend minds with a spoon!

Is their any geared vehicle which doesnt show this trait ?

Guess you answered the first para above with the second, right rpm!
