Your Ertiga is looking awesome. I really liked the arm rest you have put. Can you pl take some more snaps of it and post here? Also, how is hand brake operation affected when this arm rest box is installed? Also, is it a MGA or you installed it seperately and how much did it cost.

Thanks mahii for the compliments. I got the armrest installed in noida. It has has a store compartment which can be opened by lifting up the upper portion from the front. Also one can slide it back or forth as per need. I usually keep it so that I may rest my left elbow on the arm rest and slide it back as far so that it doesn't interfere with handbreak operation. I got it installed for 1000. Will post more pics later. All accessories except side beading, bumper protector and kick plates are not MGA. Rear sensor with camera display on RVM is by smartkey india .this also has human voice prompt, distance indicator and coloued lines. Mats are from elegant and are washable.exhaust pipe finisher and armrest I don't know the name of manufacturer. Wooden finish is by autoshades india.seat covers are art leather locally manufactured as per my demand.

Hi friends I am going to take delivery of my granite grey zdi without alloys and looking forward to after market alloys since it has less no of leaf.which brand I should consider?my other doubt is tat should tyres also be changed when alloys are replaced??

Need your suggestion for Reverse Parking Sensor. I was given 3 options by MGA:
1. Reverse sensor with Video Display (on dashboard) - 10K
2. Reverse sensor with sound & coloured Led display (on dashboard) - 3K
3. Reverse sensor with sound & distance display on Top Mirror - 3.6K

I have opted for 3rd option (Reverse sensor with Display on Top Mirror).
Are there any disadvantage of installing sensor info on Top Mirror?

You have choosen the right option. It may feel waste of money initially but when you drive for some time you come to know its benefits. With beeper you only know when an obstacle is near but with display option you know exactly where you are reversing. I had choosen this because kids scate in our parking area and beeper alarm may be too late to detect these fast moving children. With display can see while reversing whether any kid is coming towards my car

I got fitted from the dealer, but found it very difficult and sad thing is they chopped little plastic inside the dash to fit this new system. (I did not read or hear any sort of this procedure in any website) . Try to find a experience technician for this work.

Yes sound quality is considerably poor when compared to original unit. Speakers are same.

i have got the wooden finish done from autoshades india.every accessory shop has their contact. you can also see their website :
usually they do all door panels and gear console. but I didnot personally like the gear console work and requested to do the dash portion instead. any plastic part which can be removed can be sent for finishing. the colour i chose was AS-6 and got the work done for 4200 Rs

As already mentioned in my previous post i do not know the name of the manufacturer. Actually I was getting my seat covers fixed when i saw this thing and I liked it. most of the universal armrest will not fit in ertiga because of narrow gap between front seats. Even I would have liked a much narrower one. The support plates are fixed using screws in the plastic of your car.
I will post some pics later so that you may get a better idea. Armrest should be narrow enough so that it does not interferes with seat movement. Even mine rubs against the side of seat during movement.

Go for option 2 or 3 . Dont waste so much money into it. You will have to look around while taking reverse ,so beeps are good enough to warn you about obstacles.

Thx, I went with the 3rd option and got the sensor indicators installed on top rear view mirror. It shows distance in on glass in meters and also rainbow lights (green, yellow, red depending upon the distance between car and barrier behind it) and also keeps beeping louder when object is near.

Got it installed from MGA, Goregaon(W), Mumbai.

Finally got a call from Dealer for Zdi (instead of Granite Gray, offering Dusky Brown- i am Ok with that) , with Alloys.

Ex showroom : 8.88L
Insurance : 26k
RTO : 1 L
Extended Warranty : 11 K
OTR : 10.30 L.

A hike of apx 30K for the same model since Jun 2012-when I booked it. But still better, since Maruti has announced a hike in prices from January 2013.

I am planning to get insurance from my existing agent- to use the benefit of NCB of my current car.

My query : What is the benefit of extended warranty ?. AFAIK-it might be useful if you have a heavy usage,. And even though, I am getting a Zdi, I know my running will not exceed 1K/month even, max.

Same here with me, I had mentioned this in my 1st service that only Scandisk 4 Gb's are working . Guess it has to do with the transfer rate and i was told that Soon you will receive a firmware upgrade on crrunt system, am keeping followup with My Maruti Dealer and If by any chance i receive an upgrade i will update here.

Old models (1-2yrs old) from Transend and Corsair (8-16GB's) Works properly .

Anu updates fro MS, as i too encounter same error message and the nippon service guys in pune have no clue.
