Congrats to all Ertigans. Keep sharing the experience. I am able to hear the diesel engine noise a lot inside the cabin, now a days. I have done only 2654 kms so far. Is that the same with you? For a week continuously I didn't use my Ertiga ZDI, due to heavy rains here. After that I lost the cooling effect in my A/c. Had to take it to the MSM in Chennai, for correction. I was told that there was a leak in the nitrogen and it has been refilled. Also was asked at least to crank the engine for 5 minutes everyday. Now the effect is very good. Did any one faced similar issue? Will the a/c go down if the car is not used daily? Please share. Thnx.

@Strapp

How is the unit you installed with GPS and bluetooth etc. working? Was it easy to install or were there any compatibility issues? Can you put your full experience down? I'll be thankful.

If I buy it, I will have to call for it from the Vizag person to be delivered at Ajmer in Rajasthan, and then locate someone who can install it, either in Ajmer or at Jaipur. What precautions must be taken?

Update on the issue..The vehicle is given today to pratham service center and i will be getting back my LUV by tomorrow. They have procured the rear axle now they are saying that the front noise is due to the strut loose but still not happy with there answer.

Im not the first to report the air leakage issue there are couple of them and many of them are unaware. Please observe the rear tyre wear since I have seen on other site people mentioning about -ve camber keeping the wheels in an angle. Anybody have more info. on this please let us know. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

First of all congrats to all Ertiga owners. i am following TAI for the last 4 months regarding the 'LUV'. i ve booked my LUV-ZXI last monyh only. Eagerly waiting for the delivery. This thread is really helped me a lot knowing the LUV.

Can u guys please provide a review regarding this 2 Din Suzuki player's perfermance and installation difficulties(if any). Thanks in advance.
Hi there ,

My Ertiga has done around 16000 kilometers so far and is getting better and better in performance , like old wine. Highways turn in a mileage of 17.5 Kms to a litre , if you drive at 90-100 speed . Could get 19-20 kms , if you did lower speeds of say 80-90.

2 DIN OEM Suzuki SWIFT -2012 / ERTIGA CompatIble Integrated system ( Vizag Distributor- Imported system ) .

It is a tailor made system for Ertiga. The installation is flush.

The system is easy to install , provided the installer is well aware of similar installations. But , if he is well versed in it , it is a 30-45 minuted installation.

The performance is v good . The touch screen with a screen stick provided is very responsive and the system is stable at various speed states of the car as well as various weather/temperature conditions so far. But I always ensure that I spread the reflectors for the front windscreen glass , since I feel sun relentlessly beating down on the dashboard will create immense heat around the 2DIN System and the touchscreen as such. So this religious process of spreading the reflector keeps the car cool reasonably to protect the system.
The maps also needs a little experience to install , but nevertheless, is also quite simple. You need to get the activation code from the seller to install the GPS.
The Bangalore dealer , who installed it for me , is a Pro and has made a dozen odd installations of the system so far.
Go ahead and buy the system and follow the safety instructions that I have given for its protection from sunlight.
Cheers

I took these snaps from the Delivery Yard of my dealer where they had an Imported THULE Roof Top carrier mounted on a demo ERTIGA LXI vehicle. The starting price of these imported kits is around Rs.50K+, and they come in various sizes. I was told that they can be taken out from the vehicle top leaving only the support railings behind, which means you need not carry your "suitcases" separately, instead put all your belongings into this THULE carry case and lock it. This is also suppose to be an "all weather" carry case.
Thule is too expensive. I just installed a Quest carrier. I will post the pics. Cost me 6650/-

The pics are from my phone cam, so might not be clear.

The position of the front clamps (and therefore the rear too) need to be shifted a bit towards the rear I think, as visible in the 2nd pic.

Anyway this is a flexible fitting, so really does not matter.

Dear Sandeep, Thanks for the photos. Your ertiga looks awesome in beige color. By the way in your first photo i could see a blue color car in the back ground. Is it a MS Ertiga?

Regards

It seems that the blue color Car is Honda City.
Close, but no!! That is our Honda Civic S MT, of Sept. 2006. Have done about 145000 km till now.

A lot of times I do think about changing it, but always end up comparing the other cars to the Civic, and none really stand up (except for being petrol :-(). I had to curtail that comfort level while checking out the cars this time.

The Ertiga is for occasional long highway use (being a diesel), and daily city use. The Civic will remain the car that we take to the office every day (55-60 km roundtrip). I have shifted my OHC to the factory office, and use it for my local commutes there, so the Civic is mainly used on highway between Ajmer and Kishangarh. I have had some issues with the Civic on a regular basis, but........

Personally felt the beige was the most practical colour here in Rajasthan, hides the dust well.

Civic is still one of the most stunning looking cars both from outside and interiors, and it was launched in India in 2006 mind you. Still a stunner. Another reason I don't know what to replace it with?

The Verna, Elantra and others are all copying cues from it in a major way (the so called fluidic).

It's international launch by a staid Honda had sent a lot of cars back to the drawing board. The next generation has already been launched in early 2011 I think, but will not make it to India as it has no Diesel.

I am basically a Honda fan, and have had 3 identical OHCs (Sept. 2001 - Heather Mist colour) in my house, only difference being the shape of the rear spoilers. The reg. numbers were also very close 9504, 9507, 9555. 9555 was totaled in an accident in January this year, but saved my cousin :-), the other 2 still doing their duty 11 years on. Most trouble free car we have ever owned, and we have had cars since 1931 (my great-grandfather got the 1st private car in Ajmer).
