I am yet to install GPS software and waiting for mapmyindia SD card. will inform you again once i compete this. I have paid Rs 20,000 for head unit and shipping charges of + Rs 600 for shipping. I am waiting for quote for mapmyindia SDcard version.

I got my Ertiga VDI delivered on 8th of May. Next day morning when surroundings are very quite when I insert the key to turn on ( no engine start) I was hearing Hissing noise from fuel pump under second row. after a while noise went off ( once fuel pump pumped enough diesel, Stopped) After start the engine Hissing noise started again, now it is even louder then earlier. upon my query to dealer, SE came and checked, "This is very common" was reply I got from him. Next day I checked one of the test drive ZDI, there got the same hissing noise too. Can you also check and let us know?

I am getting the same problem now, the fuel pump is making a hissing noise, pretty audible if you stand near passenger door on driver side. I have checked in couple of test drive cars, found similar sound in one where as it was not there in the other.
Hey Prabhu, are you still seeing this problem, any issue with the fuel pump or any issue in pickup or fuel injection in your Ertiga?

Also if you open the bonnet, you could hear there is low frequency humming sound, it is coming below the Engine along with regular Engine noise. Previous I own a Swift, so the Engine noise is very familiar to me, but I am hearing a low frequency humming too, it is not audible in the cabin.

Can anybody verify this in their Ertiga Diesel versions? If there are issues, i will ask MASS to address them in the first service.

I got the same 2 Din system delivered to me by the Vizag Dealer.Paid 20 k.. How much did Konark charge for the installation?..How is the performance of the unit?
Does the touch screen feel easy and good to use ? How long did it take to install? .Did you also try the TV ? , although it could be just a dummy !!I plan to get it installed at Konark next week , when I come to Bangalore. Please fill me in with all the details and thanks in advance .

I have a query on the Ertiga Diesel fuel pump noise, long back "PrabhuR" also mentioned about the same. I got the delivery of the car last week, done around 500km all city driving, I am also hearing the hissing noise from the fuel pump exactly the way "PrabhuR" explained. Any of you guys hearing the same hissing noise? The sound is pretty audible when car is parked in a silent place and the ignition is on, sound goes off after some time once enough diesel is pumped in and comes back the moment you start the Engine. Sound is like some gas leaking from cylinder sort :)

Checked other diesel Ertiga in person and friends from forms & facebook and got it confirmed that this is common in all Diesel Ertiga. No worries..

Yesterday i gave another shot with my friends corsair 8Gb pen drive and to my surprised it was working superb but at the same time SONY 4gb pen drive still gives an same error (Unsupported format) . Now am planing to try 32gb and 16gb's and after that i will buy another one . There are super discounts running on shopeclues.com (250rs.) for 8gb pen drive .

I was kind of busy due to personal work..I will catch up you guys for any queries soon..

Yesterday day done my 2nd free service at Popular motors,kelkattalai, chennai.

Issues reported was
1. Squeaky noise from last row seat
2. Slightly low pickup compared to earlier

All were fixed promptly..Under body coating was recommended by SA which I refused as it’s not necessary.

Total bill was 0 - rupees.

As for the gear shift RPM..we can rev up to RPM where maximum Torque is delivered. In our case Ertiga's Maximum RPM is at 1750 I believe. Please someone confirm.

I own Ertiga ZDI , I didnt heard any noise like this , please chek with nearset service center, I think it will not be a much problem, for our satifaction we can check.Some one has this noise problem, listening that now every one was behind this

Hi Errtigablr, i did this with the dealer. if you can go to Hosur, please visit "Amman Cars". they did this for me. in fact, you should be able to get this done in BLR BIMAL Autos too.

Hey Starpp This is Long Miles Cruiser I am a proud Ertiga"n too . Have crunched 8100 Kms so far thanks a lot buddy.. Your Vizag contact is a well researched one He seems to be making a whole sale deal out of these units His Price is also reasonable at Rs 20000 when compared to the Architects Mumbai guy ( That is a rip off at tht Price tht Architect paid for it - Dealer has made a killer margin from him ) This Vizag guy had a unit of the 2 Din Suzuki 2012 Integrated DVD cum GPS System He is sending me Map my India Maps and Memory card too I am expecting to receive it tomorrow Can you give me the Bangalore Dealers name and Mob No ( The guy you said installs this system very well) . so that I can get it installed in Bangalore , since I keep coming there often in a month. You said that our regular Ertiga Speakers are very good and so I am staying with it ( No speaker replacement ) Hows the performance of the unit Starpp .Looking forward to your response . Also the next time I come over to Bang , maybe we could meet and have a cup of coffee.

Regarding the sound quality, i would like you to try and see the difference. it might not be a good idea that i suggest because sound system is a personal like :-) but if you want to have a superb sound quality, i would recommend go for a JBL speakers since head unit cost is saved :-) (may be 10K+)

The head unit comes with 1 Yr warranty. i think this is common for any after market electronics item. the same unit sold in Indonesia as a OEM item by Suzuki dealers.

Yeah, the low frequency humming noise is of the belt, audible as a background noise along with the Engine noise. If you try to hear it carefully, you could find that, should not be an issue, shown to MASS, they told it is normal. I don't remember my old swift use to make this noise or not, might have been audible in the starting, later as the engine noise increases, nothing becomes noticeable :)

I got this done at the same place where starpp got it done -> Konark, Jaya Nagar 9th Block, Bangalore. Refer to link posted by Starpp on this page.

Konark people did a very good job of installing it within 1.5 hrs and charged around 650. Since this unit is for Swift 2012, it fits nicely in place of original Head unit and connectivity is straightforward.

Unit is working good so far and touch screen is also fine. i did not try TV & GPS features. i am waiting for Maps SD card to try GPS.

How did you install GPS software and maps on your Head Unit? was it preloaded or did you install using SD card? Please share installation instructions, if possible as i want to try with trail version first. The unit purchased by me runs on Win CE 6.x version.
