Maruti Suzuki Ertiga ZDi Bought: Ownership Review

Hai Ertiga owners , I have seen Ertiga in Indionesia. Indonesia version is same but totaly different shades , they are beautiful shades (better than India) total 8 shades , pearl white is one of the excellent color, few shades are with pearl.MSL used superior white in India without metallic one of the cheep color.Indonesia version shades also producing in India, why dont they give this colors to India , I here attached the link pls visit SUZUKI INDONESIA

There are three shades with pearl.Black is missing in indian version but its available in Indonesia, MSIL is realy cheating us
The dealer should talk to MSIL for the same shades

Hi Girish,
I changed my mind today. I decided to retain my ZDI audio system and I installed a reverse parking sensor + camera + wireless blue tooth kit. The display for all would be on the rear mirror. It also has the capability to play movies, stream audios from phone etc. I did all this for 14K

It's just me or others have also observed that car cabin starts to get engine noise after car crosses 90KMPH. Engine becomes too noisy @ 120 KMPH speed as compared to my Accent or SX4.
Also I have noticed one more thing in my recent trip to Shirdi fom Mumbai, the Thadd!! sound is much more than other cars. Even for the small pothole it sounds like a bigger one. Also on the bridges at the joints I could feel jerks as compared to other cars. I noticed the same while taking the test drive too, but I thought this might not be there in actual vehicle.
I love my Ertiga but these two prolems are making me worried now. Also my parents now feel that rider quality of our ol Accent is much better than Ertiga.

Hi Even I feel that the engine is too noisy when we travel about 100 KM/hr. I have not felt the jerk though, I have changed my tyres to Yokohoma ES 100. 205X60X15.

I have installed it from Radio ware house anna nagar. I feel their pricing is high. You can check with other after market shops. It has camera + blueetooth + usb compatible movie player. You can add the sensors too and the output would be to the same rear view mirror. It is extremely useful to have both camera and sensor. I would recommend you to install it as I have found it very useful when reversing.

NO. its only CD-R (MP3) no DVD-R/RW compatible.

thank you strapp. BTW pls help me with this, iam planning to change the music sytem with a 2 DIN multi media player; which model (and brand) is suitable for the ZDI. since iam getting it from Dubai, i want to get the right one which can be installed in india without any trouble and avoid me a loss if it does'nt suits and in that case can i get the parking sensors and cam also from here or is it better to have them installed from the maruti dealer to avoid any wiring issues?

Hi Willy, Can you check following link whether you have this system sold in Dubai. This supports Navigation and all your need with in-dash 2DIN music. this is quiet easy to fit it. i have the similar on my car, dealer can fix this without any big wiring issue.

Please see the following link. for fitting the unit and doing several works Konark Bangalore (Jaya Nagar) charged only Rs.1100. (no speaker replacement).

Music system query

Hey TAI, am abhilabh and i too got Serene Blue Zdi on 23rd August. So far i've covered almost 1500kms and am loving it . I have doubt about stock Music system .

Is it true that it supports only 2GB Usb drive , heck even china made dvd players support least 4Gb pen drive. Please confirm this ASAP because whenever i try to connect 4Gb Pendrive with FA16 it gives an error code 01 and then it displays Unsupported Format .
If that is the case we should ask maruti (Nippon) to update its firmware .

Off topic :- Since i had some what similar experience with Dealers shall i start new Thread or i can continue on posting in this Thred?

I am blessed with a Silky Silver ZDI Ertiga which i picked up over the weekend at Chennai. Accessories include MGA reverse sensor, MGA Seat Covers, Non-MGA complete floor mat job, visors, door step lights, 30/70 green tint films, etc.
Excited about the great riding quality and the acres of space. Initial jaunts with 7+2 and 7+1 were indeed very comfortable.
The diesel mill is ultra smooth and the Turbo boost around 1900 rpm is awesome, although at slow speeds within city the ride is not comparable with other Petrol cars.
The initial FE is around 13-14, in tight city traffic conditions and promising to rise gradually.

Update of Pen Drive issue

I went through User Manual and again i tried to connect 4Gb Pen Drive (Sony ) and still am getting Error " Unsupported format " or sometime it plays 1st line of any song and then gives above error. What to do ? am confused .

I've used FAT32 , FAT16 and even NTFS but nothing works.

From which center you took your vehicle and what was the waiting period ?
I booked ZXI at Popular velachery and its almost 4months now, no positive reply from them.
