Maruti Suzuki Ertiga ZDi Bought: Ownership Review

Hi Saby, I play songs from USB which has a folder for each movie. I am not sure why the songs are not played in order sorted by folder name. Example : Let say I have four folders on USB; CCC, EEE, DDD and AAA. I expect the player to play the songs from AAA first, then CCC followed by DDD and EEE. But the player starts from some random folder. Are you aware in what order these folders are getting sorted.

PS: I have not enabled any Random play option provided in the player.

I completely agree with the car review. I just took delivery of Ertiga Vdi on Wednesday in Bangalore. Must say the car is excellent. And i wanted to ask the other fellow owners of this monster that , is the rear AC giving completely cool air or medium cool air.

Hi Guys! i need a suggestion.

I booked my Ertiga ZDI on 16th April 12 from Apra Auto Gurgaon, i have been told that my waiting period is 12 to 14 weeks to which i agree and signed.

few days back i got letter from Dealer that waiting has been increased from 32-36 weeks, what could be the case? they say that if you want VDi we can try giving that in a month's time

Welcome aboard. As commented by other owners in this thread earlier, this is the scene across India. You have no choice but to wait.

This is Granite Grey and it does not have shades of black, it is the same as the Grey in XUV and Innova.

Dear this look awesome, we have also booked ERTIGA ZDI in same color.This is the first time I am seeing. My wife and I was confused between red and grey. Today u made us happy .

I've seen the car in grey in real and it looks very nice and of professional type.
Though the colour is looking of Jet Black type in the pics and its too looking awesome.
Suzuki should consider manufacturing the car in Black colour too (If it can deliver the car to customers on time :P)


@Ertiga-ZMR- If I'm not wrong, you postponed the delivery of your car by almost an year.

I didn't tested this thing, neither I noticed it. But I'll surely test this thing 2mrw.
Btw, did you make it out how the AVC functions? I don't hear any diff. in the volume even on level 2/3?

Mine is Ertiga VDI , i have put the alloys of zdi for this.. i would recemmond u go for the VDI.. as its sufficient for city and long drives.. and in bangalore its 9,868,75/- on road, i would say dont take the 3rd year waranty which reduces the cost to 9,78,675/- then u will havr 10k in ur account. so if u take the alloys which cost 27k and the zdi system 16k it shd come up for 10,21,675-. He gave me the alloys for 23k. so u can check with him and get a good deal. i would say VDI is good da..

Thanks Vishal, but wat about Airbags and steering mounted music system control etc. I value your suggestion but feeling to go for ZDI. As I believe this car would be with me a for a long time so it's okay to have one time investment. BTW from which dealer you got this goregeous baby.

@zmr and as @shivats told its from Pratham Motors Queens Road. The reason why i told you, there is a suggested price hike as subsidy is being reduced for all diesel cars. So taken the waiting period is long and the rule says the price applicable at the time of registration is supposed to be paid, it would be a risk to take. thats why advised buddy. because you are investing 10+lakhs na so thought you might want to see some work around

@zmr i have some options for ZDI. my frnd owns a maruthi dealership. so i can refer you to him for early delivery.

2)What is this super turbo thing that sales people tell about ertiga's diesel engine, what about simple turbo engines that used to come earlier.

Well its nothing but a VGT. improves to remove lag and works as optimum turbo at each and every point of your throttle input

I was going through all threads ahead, and found most of them depicts about diesel models (VDI and ZDI). They really looks inpressive with above owner reviews.

I am looking for a petrol model, probably VXI. I looked at the car the day it launched, but could get it for a drive. Is anyone here with a petrol one? Hows is the performance of new K series engine and how is the true" mileage?
