Maruti Suzuki will officially launch Ertiga tomorrow at Auto Expo 2012. But this is what I was able to capture for now.

The show stopper of Auto-Expo is unveiled!!!

- The diesel variant will don the reliable Fiat 1.3-litre multijet engine that will produce 88PS of power at 4000rpm and 200Nm of torque at 1750rpm.


- The petrol variant will wear a 1.4-litre engine that will produce 94PS at 6000rpm and 130Nm of torque at 4000rpm.


- The mileage is expected to be around 10 – 12 kmpl in the real world.

- Ertiga is big enough to seat 7 persons with ease. Of the three rows, middle and rear can be foldable and will be available in different configurations as per requirement.


- The design is more like a car than a commercial vehicle with bulky wheel arches, pronounced shoulder lines and an integrated spoiler.

- Easy ingress, egress and walk-in for the third row. Dash board is similar to the one housed in the Swift, but it will have a beige tinge.

-The top-end Ertiga will feature 15-inch alloys.

The MPV Ertiga is said to be launched in the market by March end.

^^ This is surely looking great unlike Innova which still has commercial van-type looks.

Will the 1.3l used in swift be powerful enough to pull 7 seater MPV, especially with AC on ?

If they price below xylo, it will fetch MS some nos. if not, then RIP.

The color looks like Ritz Almost don't you think? I prefer the metallic blue or white where many pics where shown

And guess what even the middle row seats are adjustable just like the front one

Hey the Engine uses VGT which makes 88BHP and torque almost nearer to Innova,its a straight take from SX-4 so that wouldn't be too much of problem.

Hey the Engine uses VGT which makes 88BHP and torque almost nearer to Innova,its a straight take from SX-4 so that wouldn't be too much of problem.

But SX4 is 4 seater, this is 7 seater that too with AC, it will add more load.
And though torque maybe near to Innova, on highway, there will be quite a drag from 60-90 compared to innova. Overtaking will surely be an issue.

That's not really an issue, the body weight is lesser,if its underpowered way too much then people stop buying that's all.
