Maruti Suzuki begins production of YRA / Fronx.
Will be likely a late 2015 release, will take on Hyundai's Elite and Honda's Jazz.
Possible of this being a a leading fuel efficient hatchback in India. Maruti Suzuki has set a whopping Rs. 100 crore budget for advertising campaigns of the YRA / Fronx.
When launched, the Fronx will come with 3 engine options:
•K10C, 998cc, Boosterjet petrol motor with automatic & manual gearbox (On a later stage)
•K12 petrol motor from the Swift
•D13, 1.3L DDiS diesel motor with 90 PS
Reports also mention that the Fronx would be the widest hatchback in the segment, hence offering a more comfortable cabin.

Noticeably different from all Maruti products currently on sale, fresh design
Honeycomb mesh front grille extending towards the headlamps
Headlamps look slightly similar to those on the Swift, but have their share of differences
