Maruti Baleno First Drive India Review

Price & Mileage:

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno is one of the most efficient in the segment, with petrol claiming a mileage of 21.4kmpl and the diesel boasting of being the best in the segment with a claimed 27.39kmpl. Coming to price, Maruti says that the Baleno already has over 98 per cent localisation. This would translate into pretty competitive pricing. My gut feeling says that Maruti will be looking at undercutting the price of the segment leader Hyundai Elite i20 which is priced from Rs 5.34 lakh for the base petrol to Rs 8.28 lakh for the top of the line diesel variant. And if the new Maruti Suzuki Baleno manages to do that, then the segment could get a new leader.

Someone post pictures of delta variant with cvt. We all know the alpha variant looks very good and internet is flooded with pics of alpha. But rest of the variants actually looks bleak as if an enlarged swift.

I cannot understand how he managed to write a full page about cvt baleno. In short what he knew of baleno cvt was only this much,

. "The petrol engine is excitable, but lacks punch when mated to the CVT. Having said that the CVT is excellent for city traffic, and is allows the engine to be plenty responsive at lower revs and speeds."

He couldn't even put an interior pic of CVT variant. Pity on these journalists.

i prebooked cvt varient in hyderabad , , comming to interior of cvt have a look, i spoke with nexa relation ship manager about availability of projecter lamps so that i can remove stock lamps and install projecter lamps , but they have no idea of avalability and price , if they r not available i am going to withdraw my booking, not going to pay premium price for swift like looking car from front cvt.jpg

They should have provided projector headlamps as standard. The headlights plus the chrome looks are the only good things in the front.

You will not get this Accessory at launch, maybe after a month it could come. S Cross HID projector lights have just landed as accessory. The S Cross was launched on August 5th[:)]

YA , because customers will think twice before buying the car because of this swift like looking lamps , and no seat height adjustment option in cvt version , [roll] dont know what is their statergy , airbags , ebd and abs are default in basic version but no driver seat height adjustable option even in cvt delta model , i thought of booking honda jazz but again i thought of waiting and give baleno a look so that i can decide between the two. honda jazz looks good but some options missing in S cvt version.

is it thanks for the info mate , but does Nexa company policy accept to change my lamps from normal to projector ( if they are available)

There's no car which will fulfil all your needs. You should test drive both the cars , then check what all features are must and then compare the extra features and then decide.

Yes in Nexa there is an accessory department - they will do it for you, when available.

Don't be silly. You shouldn't cancel booking based on just non-availability of Projector lamp. Baleno gives tons of more feature than swift. You shouldn't even be comparing it with swift.

brother these are pics from frankfurt last month , not noida and the last pic belongs to IK2
