Mahindra XUV500 Facelift Launched @ ₹11.21 Lakh (Coverage: Page 7)

Guys as per our speculation if the facelifted XUV is just around the corner then why havent any real test mules been seen testing. All the pics seen are just some paper stuck on the same old XUV. Either its the Hybrid but there sure arent any facelift pics anywhere. Please give your valuable inputs because we are decided on XUV and wouldnt like to see the facelift on the roads after a week or so. We will just be going for the diesel. So no hybrid.

A family friend of ours went to the mahindra showroom in middle of december to buy xuv500.

the sales person said that they had sold the stock they had of xuv500.HE mentioned that all chandigarh tricity dealers are out of xuv500 and the facelift launch is just around the corner because company is not sending them xuv500 now.

they further went to 2 more dealers in tricity but none of them had xuv500.one of them also said that this is why the company was offering discounts on the car.

Are you absolutely sure about the facelift? Im not sure because of the above points.

CLJ, As of yesterday, It is reported from Mahindra's end that Face-lift of XUV500 will be here in Mid-2015.

The refreshed new Mahindra XUV500 is expected to hit the Indian car market by mid 2015.

M&M's XUV5OO spotted again, but this time the rear taildgate -In all chances, the Mahindra XUV 500 is about to get some changes in the styling of its rear-end and our guess is that the popular SUV’s tailgate will soon get some chrome around its license-plate housing. Currently, the XUV comes with a black-finished registration plate enclosure.

Mostly seems to cover the badges of new auto tranny as well as petrol engines that are in speculations for a long time that would be getting launched by mahindra.
Also the changes as you said might be added as well.

I am booking XUV 500 this week. Is this facelift just around the corner or it still takes time. Scooping through autoforums for info. But all vague reports. Enquired at Mahindra dealers here. No solid info. And if the facelift is indeed true what changes will it have?

Hello SiriSiri, I think the facelift will be launched in the Auto Expo hopefully if not then it well come around June or July. Same here we were finalised on the XUV until a saw a major scoop of the facelift and we changed our mind. We were getting no concrete info and based on that were going to book the XUV until I finally saw the scoops and decided that no XUV for now until the facelift arrives. The changes it will feature is a redesigned front and a little bit of changes in the interiors. IF you are will to compromise for those HIDEOS front looks then go for it .

Hello. Well xuv500 front looks good for me and its my personal opinion and its not a concern for me. As i am looking for w6 variant my only concern is will it get a touch screen or atleast a colour infotainment unit instead of the present monochrome one. Also the quality of plastics in the interiors if it is better than the current one then waiting for it makes a point. If no solid info, then i will go ahead with booking

We can safely say that a facelift is coming. As i said, some tweaks and some interior changes are expected and as with the case with all manufacturers the quality will definately increase. The touchscreen making its way into the w6 variant is highly unlikely however there is a chance that they may make the screen coloured. My advice is that even if you like the looks of the current gen XUV if after two months or so, you will see a new XUV and trust me your heart will hurt. Wait for the new one. BTW we have finalised XUV but are also waiting for the new one. If you wish to buy the new one then we can go book it together. We are going for the W8 but i still think that we may be able to squeez some discounts out of them. Awaiting your reply. Also since we moved to mysore for a bit of time and then returned to gurgaon we noticed that the prices of the W6 variant were extremely close to the W8 variant in gurgaon. If possible come to gurgaon buy it and then get it transfered to Mysore. Total cost may be more than you would like to spend but then you are upgrading to the top variant so it is worth it.

Hi all, I have got some news that the engine of the XUV may be upgraded to 170 HP and more torque. Can it be true? Anyways saw a camouflaged XUV yesterday which did emit a little bit smoke but went so quick that even our Rapid couldn't keep up The older XUV wasn't as quick as this one was. Do hope that the new Engine comes.

Got my XUV500 yesterday afternoon. Indeed dream come true. Will be posting the Initial experience in the thread shortly. Its to drive and hats off to mahindra!

Hi guys. Since Mahindra has the R&D in Chennai they test their vehicles in ooty as this is a hill station. I had seen the Scorpio undergoing tests disguised here many times but did not bother to chase it for a pic.
Now the top secret is, I had a chance to see the facelift XUV500 in a place (Not to be mentioned) And all i can tell you is the SUV has a minor tweak on the rear tailgate number plate applique, redesigned dash (probably to solve the dash reflection on the windscreen) The front however does not get a major redesign as I could not see it clearly due to heavy camouflage.
No Pics as the friendly tester requested.
All this pain I took is for my soon to be delivered W8. I was confused whether to wait for the facelift or not. the facelift will hit roads only after the second half of this year .
