This seems like an instant success mantra for Mahindra
Things that I have gathered from sources who are in conjunction with M&M
1. There might not be petrol variants available at launch
2. The diesels wont be priced cheaper than Brezza/Nexon, in fact its pricing will be more leaning towards the Ecosport territory
3. The diesel is BS VI compatible
4. Mahindra eyeing a 24 kmpl ARAI mileage for XUV300
5. No official word on Automatic variants
6. Will be the biggest brand builder for Mahindra apart from its newly launched Marazzo and Mahindra expects at least 8-10k bookings per month from this baby CSUV

Here is a review of the XUV300 s mentor
Seems like a no nonsense CSUV from Mahindra and should be a far better purchase fro potential CSUV buyers who are aiming at Brezza and Ecosport and a BIG rival for Tata Nexon

2019 Mahindra XUV300 official fuel efficiency figures revealed

On the ARAI test cycle, the XUV300 petrol is claimed to do 17kpl, while the diesel has a fuel efficiency figure of 20kpl. The turbo-petrol’s figure is level with the figures for the petrol versions of the Tata Nexon and Ford EcoSport, and interestingly, more efficient than the Hyundai Creta’s 1.6-litre unit. It becomes all the more impressive when you note the fact that the XUV300’s petrol engine offers significantly more torque than all of its abovementioned rivals.

Love the way XUV300 has shaped up before the official launch.
I am sure many people must be eager and looking forward for the Feb launch.
Its another aggressive and beautiful product by M&M
Looking forward for the Electric XUV300

I wonder how Mahindra is going to price the 300,
Especially the top vatiants,
The W8 O variant seems to be havily loaded and a mild hybrid tech will just add to its cost,
Also not sure whether the petrol will get mild hybrid which would add more sense to petrol as diesels even without hybrid tech are efficient but petrols+hybrid is what might make petrol takers more interested, also I feel a mild hybrid in petrol will make it more practical choice than diesel for those who dont do more than 10,000 kms a year.

Xuv 500 inspired by cheetah
Xuv 300 inspired by Renault logan
Front end looks exactly like 80s cars with an led strip added to garnish and the rear nothing said is better.
Quality of interior plastics also seems below par especially that white part.
Hope they price it from 5.5 else it will become another sales dud like mahindra's earlier attempts in the 4 meter suv class.

BASHING is most aptly used here

I usually ignore cars which I don't like but what can I do when some people don't do so
Anyway this car just looks like a Renault logan from front and the whole exterior design is straight out of 80s
Rear looks like an alto though.
By the way I'm not a fan of nexon design either but it looks better than this. Brezza is excellent in looks space and stance. Ecosport though looks good is bit narrow and the stance is not that good

With regards to the Xuv300, I feel pricing would play major part in its success and feel like Breeza may be impacted. So far, Breeza is unaffected by nexon, or Ecosport or wry but with XUV300 I feel there would be some impact.

I haven't seen the car in metal, but over all I do not see any striking looks like what XUV, Nexon or Harrier was launched. But profile / silhouette looks very similar to Breeza. There are few segment first like the 360 camera but then again this car is not a head turner.

Thing is Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so probably looks wise this might not appeal to you, but I am quiet sure this no nonsense design will appeal to a large mass and will definitely fetch numbers to Mahindra stores.
Brezza will largely remain unaffected, because India will always give Maruti too much credit and will stand by them even if their products are not best in segment.
Ecosport and Nexon will definitely feel the heat and Ecosport will most likely see large discount amounts pasted on its windscreens soon.

By what yardstick are you comparing?
How in the world can you say that when the pics say otherwise!!
I can understand that you may not like XUV300.
I can also understand that nobody can force you to like it.
What I cannot understand is how are you comparing XUV300 to alto and logan??
Please enlighten me.

Just Google how 70s cars look
Straight lines and rectangular boxes
Logan has this same design philosophy but doesn't look good like some classics from the 70s. Three quarters of this car follows the same design philosophy
The rear lights though not similar in design to alto has the same bulbous weird look to it like we see in alto.
Overall another failed attempt by mahindra design team.
