The tail lamps of the mini xylo will not be in it's usual place, that is, like Xylo.
It will be mounted on the D pillar, besides the rear glass, like in Punto.

The mini-Xylo will only see a launch in April 2012, which is almost four months away!The mini-Xylo will be available with 7 seats (the last row will have 2 jump seats). Two all new engines will power the mini-Xylo, one being a 1.2-liter petrol motor, while the 1.5-liter diesel unit being a watered down version of the mEagle powertrain. What really sets the mini-Xylo apart from B-segment hatchbacks would be its 7-seats, high ground clearance and rugged looks. Expect a starting price of around Rs. 5 lakhs for the mini-Xylo.

This means it won't be in 4m category as some expected. However, I doubt 5L pricing though, maybe for base petrol without power windows !! If price difference between Xylo & min-xylo is max 1L, then mini xylo RIP.

Mahindra has been very good with the pricing of their vehicles, see the XUV.
The mini Xylo would be under 4m length & still have 7 seats. I think they would have side facing jump seats in the boot as an option.

It has been confirmed that Mini Xylo won't be coming before end 2012.
Add to M & M woes of less production capacity for existing UVs. They have hands full with XUV 500 & busy for Verito CS/New Verito.
As facelifted Xylo will be coming, mini xylo launch was in anycase bound to be delayed.
Till then, premier rio can enjoy !

A friend told me that that the mini xylo will come with a 1.5 ltr, twin-turbo, 120 bhp diesel engine.
A 120 bhp engine would be awesome! Its pretty reliable info.

Twin turbo!!It means a huge turbo lag just like Cheverlet Cruze.
