This Drivers’ Day, Mahindra Truck and Bus Division (MTBD), will award scholarships for the daughters of truck drivers through the Mahindra Saarthi Abhiyaan Project to support their right to a higher education.

• The company has planned to felicitate each girl selected for this scholarship by direct bank transfer of ₹10,000 and a certificate in recognition of this achievement.
• The felicitation will be hosted in Feb - Mar 2024 at select locations by Mahindra Truck and Bus leadership India wherein 1100 scholarships will be awarded to Truck Drivers’ Daughters.
• This endeavour marks another significant milestone in MTBD Division's commitment to the Truck driver community, which was initiated with Mahindra Saarthi Abhiyaan in 2014.
• The initial outreach was conducted through reach out program at 75+ transport hubs pan India. Until now, 8,928 young girls have already benefited from scholarships under this initiative.

Mahindra to launch 16 new SUVs

The country’s largest SUV manufacturer, Mahindra Automotive, has recently announced plans to launch 16 new SUVs by 2030. This impressive lineup of upcoming SUVs will include nine new internal combustion engine (ICE) models. Additionally, there will be seven born-electric vehicles (BEVs). So far, we know a few of these upcoming models and most of their details. Meanwhile, some are still under wraps, and we only know a few things about them. So without any further ado, here are all the details that we know.

Nine New ICE SUVs

XUV 3XO
The first of these SUVs is the recently launched XUV 3XO. This particular SUV, as we already knew, was going to be the first of the three mid-cycle updates. Mahindra has taken the country by storm with the new XUV 3XO. It was reported by the brand that it received over 50,000 bookings in just an hour.

Deliveries will start on May 26. This time around, the company has launched this sub-compact SUV with a heavily revised exterior, and it gets a ton of features on the inside, like a panoramic sunroof, ADAS level 2, and a bunch of others. Powertrain options have been kept the same.

Mahindra has opened two new testing facilities at Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, which include a Passive Safety Lab and Battery Research Lab.

• These labs will allow its engineers to test the safety of Mahindra vehicles at various load cases and perform research on cell technologies.
• The laboratories have been setup at an investment of over ₹300 crores and are situated 55 Kms away from the Mahindra research Valley.
