Congratulations on your new ride , hope it serves you for the miles to come. Drive safe and wishing you niggle free ownership experience. Do let us know regarding the actual driving experience in bumper to bumper traffic and on highway.
@behaln, nice to see your very first TAI post on my thread[:)] The experience has been good until now. Of course its a slightly big vehicle to drive in bumperto bumper city traffic especially if you are riding alone.

Space inside is limited & not that great especially if you are comparing with the likes of Sumo etc.

Here is a photo below of the vehicle when I took delivery in August this year.

storm is crde engine and i have come to know that this series has lower FE. but it has lots of power & great pick up.on my ladakh ride i took him to 140 kmph on the mumbai - pune expressway.
smooth rider are you riding fast? bolero is a know for it's mileage. you should get at least 14.
Can you tell us what was the time taken for 0-140 on express highway. I seen new boleros also touching 130 + on these highways.
indicadls2002- man, the mileage you are getting is mind boggling!!!!!!!!![surprise] [clap]my storm is giving me only 11 -12 kmpl.
The ASS recommended to drive at an ideal constant speed of 75kms/hour to achieve max fuel efficiency.

In my current trip I have been driving upto 120kms/hour speed at times without any major problems wherever the roads are good, the mileage however will drop below 15kms/litre if you do that!

Odometer around 7000 kms now.
First service completed recently. Cost ~ Rs3K. Engine oil, oil filter, Diesel filter changed.
No major problems except some minor electrical stuff. Seems fine now.
Only surprising part is I needed to put some lights in the provision in the front bumper, preferably regular halogen lamps like the ones in the headlights. But the SA did not have anything to offer me.

2nd free service will be @ 10K kms with no oil change mostly only checks should be a quick one.

3rd free service will be @20K kms. (To be done within a year's time)

Amar Veg a very well maintained restaurant on NH4 just before Belgaum ghats while going southwards is a great place to take a break. Absolutely liked the location, ambience & food. Recommend it if you are ever driving on NH4. Some pics of the location & the vehicle.

Recent trip of 1000+ kms gave mileage of around 17-18 kms/litre on highway. In city around 13-14kms/l. Average around 15 kms/litre.

Second free service done after trip. Gear oil & Differential oil changed. Bill around 1600. Looks good no major problems until now. Odometer reads around 10 thousand.

Hi IndicaDLS2002

Good to see you after a long time. Good to hear your bolero is perfoming nicely and fetching awesome mileage. 1600 is really a great figure and proves that bolero is maintance free vehicle. Have you taken any AMC and is there any benifits for taking the same

As far as I know there is no AMC available, only extended warranty is available, which costs 8k for two years and around 11K for 3 years which I will buy before 1st year ends.

By the way, few days back on the TV advertisement for Bolero, I noticed in the end that it displays "2 year warranty Unlimited kms" So it appears something has changed in past few months meaning M&M is offering one more year warranty on new sales, possibly to attract more sales due to the bad auto market. I will check with my sales contact if my 2013 vehicle is also eligible.

Welcome WaaWaa Waa to the TAI club and congrats on the new car please do start an ownership thread so that it would be really benifitial for others
Thanks konkantrip. I'm working on my ownership review right now. I am trying to write comprehensively but I found that writing a review is not as easy as I thought it would be; so I am taking more time.

By the way, this is my very first car. I guess you are all familiar with the joy and happiness of getting your very own first car. There really is nothing quite like it.

Can you tell me how many kms do the bolero brake pads last?? Thank you.
I guess it depends on your driving style but please check with ASC & I don't think there is any fixed number as such, if there is a need & those are worn out you need to change it.

Needs to be changed as & when needed, check with ASC, they should be able to inspect it for you.
