Carefully reinstall it after your work. Car key should be in On position when you will refix that needle, otherwise you will get false speed reading .
The speedometer needle don't glow at night What to do with that?? Do fluorescent paint helps?[cry]

Although not the solution you might be looking for, but you could increase the length of the needle by adding some small piece of plastic at the tip. In that case, it will overlap the glowing dial, and thereby, show the current speed.

Hi guys! My car tyres are now creating problems .Tyres have worn out ,very less treads on the tyres causing frequent punctures. I am now going to change all the tyres . Tyre brands i am considering are Michelin , Yokohama ,Bridgestone.
Also upgrading to 13 inches with Alloys.
I am thinking about 165/65R13 with 5.5J alloys
So if anyone want to suggest me ,please share your valuable thoughts.[:)]

Lakkhi, the difference in circumference between OEM tyres and 165/65R13 would be less than 2%, so thats a good upsize BUT you must keep in mind that the 15mm lower profile (65) would not be nice to you bum and the Alto suspension/steering.

Take your call.

Yes i know ,i have inquired for the possible issues already. There are some good guys who do the proper modifications for upsizing.Met with some guys using upsize tyres from long time without any problem

Anything is possible in Punjab, maybe someday you will come across an Alto fitted with tractor tyres like one of those Landi/Dabwali/Moga Jeeps; but please be nice to your little Alto and go for a size thats scientifically/dynamically alright.

Hi guys! One more DIY [:D]
I have pioneer HU in my car which has excellent sound quality. It has AUX in feature but don't have USB. I really wanted USB.
You can add a USB player to your car's HU. Small circuit boards with usb playback functions are available in the market for very cheap price. With good sound quality and with remote control. Cost between 200-300 Rupees.
Actually these PCBs are made for cheap home and car mp3 players.
HU repairing guys install this kind of circuits in HUs. But they can carelessly damage your HU.
Now what i did, made a casing for circuit with some modifications made it a seprate device runs on 12v DC and attachable to HU through AUX in.
