just looks, no other benefit. with the growing number of xcent taxis, helps stand out [;)]
Well, i was once told by a Taxi driver, who was driving since last 20 years, his words - " If you want to judge if any car is good or not, just look if it is running as Taxi. If any car runs a Taxi, it's a Good car in terms of comfort, Mileage, Maintenance, Spares, etc. " ( He even clarified, that leave out cars like Merc/BMW, etc, they are only for high end customers, who doesn't depends upon cost/mileages).

Then according to this taxi driver TATA Indica, Indigo, Vista are best in terms of comfort, Mileage, Maintenance and spares as this cars are the widely used as a taxi.

There was a time when these ruled the Taxi market. But that trend is fast changing. It won't be fair to compare them with today's cars like Amaze/Xcent/Dzire, etc. Those were of different era, and were good options at that time. Today, since we have lot more / better options, new cars are more comfortable.

A Swift is definitely faster than Grand i10 but the difference is not much prominent. From my experience, Swift has a decent midrange + good top end while the Grand i10 has more power stored in the low-mid revs. More like a Fazer vs R15 comparo. [;)]

There is a couple of seconds difference in 0-60 and 0-100 lap timings between the two cars.

@ramsan first of all congratulations for your new xcent, i would suggest you to install xenon headlamps in your car. since sx(o) is the top model but it missed the xenon headlamps in it, so that you can also have them aftermarket.
I have seen people installing bi xenons but those lamps are oversmoked. They are not like what OEM products.

Hi Ice,
It is LEDs and connection made from cabin light only.

Hi All,
Added Garware Fronty sunfilm to windshield recently. The installer made some minor scartch :(
Hi Manoj,
How is the garware fronty holding up on the front windshield, how good is it for heat rejection. Also I heard that these sun films get scratches if cleaned time to time, so doesn't it affect the oncoming light if scratches are there.

I am also thinking of getting the garware fronty or ice cool shield sun film on my grand i10's front windshield.

have been thinking for upsize tyres, 185 60 r14 michelin xm2, but sadly, in mumbai, none of the dealers have this size in stock as they say this is a very odd size and is rarely used. instead they are trying to push 175 65 r14, which i do not think would be worth upsizing as there wont be much difference in driving with this size. have checks suburbs and even town, (grant road, which is famous for tyres) but had same result every where.

Amaze has the same specification - 175/65. How much would it cost more after giving the old tyres ?

I guess, changing any specification or using other than specified tyres, make the Warranty void, if any issues arises due to fault or mishandling of car( or any issues due to tyres ), Is it correct ?
