Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna

well kb87 the reverse sensor wont inform if there is a pole at the back, it will fail to detect one not only for verna but many other cars as well or if the obstacle is at a very low height.
Could you post pictures of the damage?
To check your sensors you could have some one stand at the back, i forgot which variant you have, and not sure if the other variants besides sx(o) show which sensor is detecting an obstacle as on my car.

And if you reverse at more speed, the sensor won't work.
Thanks for the response guys. I checked the rear sensors. They are working fine.
Nickandre - My verna is the sx model and you rightly mentioned, in this model it does not show which sensor is beeping. For got to take pics [embarass] Will take upload them soon.

Can anyone confirm the cost of replacing the tail light cover?

Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna

tail light assembly should be 3000-5000 its just a guess as the headlight assembly costs 3500.
do any of you guys have issues with the rear view camera? ive tried cleaning it millions of times its still hazy, even removed the protective plastic long back, ive given up o it and using the tried and tested turn your head around look and reverse method which i feel is better then the camera as it does not cover the sides and the sensors help even more.

Yup the same issue here. But after a few dry days the haze tends to get better but does not disappear all together.

5000 bucks is the cost! not sure if painting is included or the motor.
let me repeat again what i said a few months back, "hyundai parts are not cheap" (from the verna perspective)

Expect for these parts all other parts including the radiator are imported form Korea and that must have some thing to do with the cost [frustration]
Even the clutch assembly is imported form Korea
