i m getting rapid diesel the same day as on playment, and i was getting lower and lower fe day by day from crdi, so it was not very much reassuring from fluidic of its future life..and i am goin to keep a car for 5 yrs minimum, so i needed it to be future proof for sure..
now its between skoda and honda..

i am good with a CAR only, that too a reliable one..more inclined towards rapid because of its overall running cost..but honda is again a no tension car..!!

mate i would think 8 times before plonking my hard earned cash on a skoda, do check some of the ownership reviews of a skoda online.
this time don't be in a hurry, just check reviews of all cars that fit in your budget preferably long term reviews and decide. Im sorry the fluidic verna did not make it up to your expectations, you could've waited till the first service was done to find out issues if any on the car. Your a lucky one, mostly people rarely buy a car which has less km on the odo because sometimes they think its been manipulated or there is some issues which is why the owner is selling the car of.

if the budget permits do consider checking the chevy cruze, its a good car and I've not heard much issues on it though there may be some i do not know of, but spares can be a bit high

@nick: buddy, actually a family friend wanted fluidic, i told them about it but thier son was a new college student, and he was inclined towards it..so the actual cost they had to pay for it was 11.8L and they got it for this much less...SON was happy, and same is case with my dads SON(me), now i can switch to something else, 2 cars in a month..!!
waiting for your valuable suggestions mate..

for your peace of mind spend good amounts of time checking out reviews and feedbacks. For petrol i will any day suggest you a honda city. For diesels i have a limited knowledge but chevy cruze as well as optra are both good cars. One guy sold his fluidic verna crdi and went in for optra hes a happy person now. The cruze does not have a good fe but its a heck of a car. The vento is good but engine is noisy. Hey why dont you check the ford fiesta at, its got the best at in the segment.

@nick: ya i know fiesta at has dual clutch autobox with fair amount of fe,i td that car but somehow i dont find it upto the mark when comes to luxury, its all black interiors, not enough space..and those tail lights dont gel with me...

@bazooka:even i woudnt have gone for skoda, but after reading some reviews and that 4 years warranty they are giving these days which covers everything from plastics to engine..it made me think..

but whatever i have to make my decision as soon as possible, considering the price hike of diesel cars..if it happens i will go for honda surely..my running is 1k kms per month..

Yesterday i got 76.4 kms for a 10 liter fill that's like 7,6 kmpl! Called the service advisor and booked an appointment today. Took the car to the SC they ran a GSCAN no erros they reset the ECU and performed a general check no issues identified!

The SA told me to have a run in with a full tank then run for a week and fill it back again and calculate. He was firm that 10 kmpl should be achievable if not they would look into further checks.

Also wanted to change the gear knob to the chrome one, they didnt have stock will let me know once its in they will give a call. Saw servo engine oil everywhere!

@bobzooka, Fe seems to be a problem with all vernas. Their g scans show no errors neither do their diagnostic software. hence they'll conclude there isnt any problem with the car and blame the driving conditions for low FE. My service manager says petrol verna giving 8 kmpl is ''NORMAL'' . [frustration] Though my diesel verna gices only around 9 kmpl.
