karlover if a dealer disconnects the odometer then its a foul practice as he will sell that car to some novice customer who may be its his first ever car he brought and be stuck with a car clocked possibly 15k km?
@nick
you are right, that thing can certainly happen, but the car i got for td was having all those TEST DRIVE VEHICLE stickers all around its body..and when i asked for the odometer, the excuse given to me was" sir, every person who comes here for test drive, just wants to hit this car to 100kmph mark, to check out the handlling at high speeds. So we turned it off."
so what if a customer wants to hit 100km/h? he has every right to check the car totally and entirely before spending, and they can take of the stickers do a nice detailing job and sell it. my test drive was limited to only 5km in traffic highway drive wasn't allowed. Maybe their scared they would loose takers if a customer finds the handling not unto his needs.
exactly, they are worried for the same reason i suppose. but i came to know from my dads friend who owns the hyundai showroom, that hyundai is planning to upgrade the vernas suspension, dont know how long it would take.
And my overall running would be 95% city and 5% highway..and delhi traffic is as good as mumbai, so i think handling wont be a problem as i wont get a chance to run it through veins. my main concern was reliability n durability.
lets see if they can get things right, my usage is 80% highways but i have managed to get along with it. reliability is a question which we will get the answer as months pass, quality of bumpers is terrible. view my ownership thread for my opinions ive done 9200kms till now
ya i went through your thread..bumper quality has always been an issue with hyundai vehicles, it seems as if bumper is always waiting to get off as soon as your car just touch something..
Same with my i10 and i20.
if i ever get my fe issues back i will surely make use of the car on experiments, and click photos of it, i cant believe previously i used to pay 10k monthly on petrol and now its 8.5k with same usage.
