hi, i have booked a white verna sx petrol, expecting delivery on friday, really liked the black roof, hopefully will get it done in my car too.. the showroom quoted 6k for the black roof.. i had almost paid him the 6k for the roof.. and now checked this forum.

now i think i'll get it done from outside. btw himalayan3009, your car looks AMAZING !!

verna fluidic: thanks a lot & welcome to TAI mate. congrats for the booking of this beautiful beast. 6k is too high for vinyl work, maximum can be upto Rs. 2500/- including labour. hope you will get it after delivery of your Verna, do post the pic after getting the vinyl on your car.

@ Vipin: bro i have seen both Polo and Getz with smoked tail lights in Chandigarh many times and Polo was looking too hot with it. PS done by vernafluidic & shubham is somewhat similar how it will look after the job. All the best.

they might use 3m vinyl and if they do then i think the price is justified.
anyways believe me these vinyl doesn't eve cost 100 rupees \ ft. and they do 4 ft on the roof. you can do the calculation.

agree with AHC, in Chandigarh there are only 2,3 shops who does roof vinyl, ( in sector 28 & in manimajra motor market ) so we can say that they are having monopoly in that market. we too have to pay what they demands. they are just charging for the labour that much.

Thank you so much vernafluidic and shubham :) I really really am extremely grateful to you guys. The PS work done by both of you look amazing.
I really liked what I saw. So went and enquired at a local shop here first thing in the morning. He quoted a total of Rs. 3000 for gloss black vinyl for the roof, some fake carbon-fibre trims for the B-pillar and slight smoking of the tail lamps for the Polo. I will get it done sometime in the coming month (no free time at the moment. Got vacations from next month for a couple of weeks). I will update with pictures accordingly.
I might do the same for the Getz too. Love the smoked tail-lamps.

Its been more than a month since i have updated this thread. Here is a pic clicked few days ago. Look at the condition of the road. i still think that why a sedan? Why not a SUV??
BTW both roof tape and smoked tail light is in excellent condition. The guy did his job perfectly.

Hi, Below are some pics of my I20 that was modified with some stickering.
Things that were done were
- Matt Black stickering at the bottom, around the car
- Gloss Black Roof Stickering
- Smoked (sticker) fog lamps, rear reverse light and fog light, rear reflector and side mirror indicator
- Red strip stickering on the grill
- Black line on the sides on the curve

Both the Verna and the i20 in this page look good. Like how the cars have turned out. White cars with black roofs. Now that is one combo no one can get bored of.
