Update: roof tape is still in excellent condition, not a single corner ripped off. just a coat of polish and it will be new and shining like 1st day.

lol, sometimes i imagine if the sun film was still permitted, how our cars would have looked like. i really miss a little bit darker tints on my ride. BTW how is our tape till now?

it'd have looked killer

tape is all good at corners and everywhere. but yeah some of the tape was damaged from the beginning. look below the antenna , if you can make out there's a small white line.

hahahahaha that was quite tough to figure it. rest it does not matter because people still turn around to see your ride while you are zipping in a street.

yup i have seen many cars with this roof vinyl. civic , swifts etc.

none of my college buddies liked it i said , well you can guess

may be they are jealous of your ride. mine story is different, my boss was impressed with the black roof so he had it in his Swift Dzire, 1 more friend got it in his m800.

Hello frnz.cool rides.i too want to get my taillights smoked but no one knows about it here in Jaipur.or maybe I'm unable to make them undrestand what i want. can you please help me on this what did you guys told the person who did that.

sandeepchauhan: first of all welcome to TAI. which ride do you have and it is not a big problem to make the sticker guy understand.
All you need is to find a reputed local shop who deals in sun films and decals in car. if you can not make him understand you can download the pictures from here( you can find some picture in starting of this thread while doing smoking of tail lights ) so that you can show them what you want.
Procedure for having smoked tail lights is almost same like applying sun films on your car mirrors. i hope it may help you to do the task.

hi, i have booked a white verna sx petrol, expecting delivery on friday, really liked the black roof, hopefully will get it done in my car too.. the showroom quoted 6k for the black roof.. i had almost paid him the 6k for the roof.. and now checked this forum.

now i think i'll get it done from outside. btw himalayan3009, your car looks AMAZING !!

@himalayan3009 thank you friend i have Verna sx (o) stone beige. sun film guys are not ready to apply it as they are saying that the design is complicated still will find someone, I also tried DIY but it didn't looked good as compared to the professional work. Thanks

Would you be kind enough to PS my cars pics with smoked tail lamps just to see how it looks? If it looks good enough, I might go ahead with it. At the moment, I have no idea what my car will look like and with the prohibitively expensive rates the people in my city are quoting, I might have to make a trip to Cochin to get it done. That's why the need to see a PS-ed picture.
I'm looking at smoked tail lamps, but not too dark (not jet black). If you are busy or cannot do it, I totally understand. But if you do it, I will be extremely grateful.
