@Vinie i wanna make something clear that gains have nothing to do with the power output of channels. Gains are supposed to be used only for the tuning of the amp. It is gonna pump out its rated power even if the gains are set to zero.

@Shankar for mono you can consider DD's cm600 on a budget side and cm1000 on a higher side.

Sorry buddy cm600 is stable at 2 ohm load and your sub has 4 ohm impedance, so if its connected then for sure its gonna give it around 400-500watt but before doing this ask Aman to be double sure. But it seems its doable.

But i think Focal Solid 1 can be used with my sub without any issues for sure.[confused]

But i think your sub is running fine with C4c, if you wanna upgrade then go for better amp. I assume that you don't wanna waste money on upgrades, if it is then upgrade when you would be upgrading your sub as well.

vivek i agree that the gain control on the amp is used to tune the output of the amplifier to your speakers or your subwoofer

but if i disagree that if the gain is set to zero the amplifier is still going to give me
its full power per channel

if that is true my subwoofer which is a 300w infinity should have blown to bits in a couple of minutes after i connected it to my myquart mono amplifier 1000.1d

since its output is rated 475 w @ 4ohms

@Vinit and Vivek - Please explain to me this, Amps RMS should always match or should be less than that of subwoofer right? If amp's RMS is much higher to that of the subwoofer for example my sub has 300w RMS and if i buy a amp which has 500w RMS then the sub will definitely blow right?

I know this cause i have personally seen a 250w RMS rated Seas L2Roy taking more than 500 watts. 2 of these subs were powered by masconi zero 4 in one of my friends car.

it won't blow, actually subs can take much more than what they are rated for like the example i have specified above and i have seen rainbow profi series speaker taking more than 150 watts. Chameleons taking more than 200 watts and so on. High quality audio components usually are capable of much more than what they are rated for. And Rated power is the lowest power at which a system will perform best.
