Got brushed on left rear wheel arch by a stupid scootorist. He had no control over his scooter. This is what I did to hide the scratch.

Do let me know your comments.

Guys my first paid servicing is approaching. Thought of sharing this with you for suggestions.

Planned --
1. Change engine oil (Mineral/synthetic?)
2. Change air filter
3. Change oil filter
4. Change spark plugs
5. change headlamps from stock to philips xtreme power (@dhaya dropped idea of 90/100. Thanks to you)
6. Wheel alignment and tire rotation

And last, but this will take time as I am awaiting fresh stock of michelin xm1+
7. Getz gle steel rims 4.5J 13" and michelin xm1+ 175/70 R13 tires

Is anything missing ?

Hey thanks man! I feel frustrated when somebody comes in the opposite direction with those high power output headlamps! And moreover switching over to 55W in Philips Xtreme has increased the light throw in our member Paramesh's i10.

Tire rotation , how much KMS has your car clocked?

And don agree with the dealer if he suggests something saying it will improve the performance or life of the engine! They just tell all that to take more money from us! Make sure you get an estimate from the SA for all the works , question them if the bill exceeds the estimate significantly.

Even my car is due for servicing. (first free service). My friends are suggesting me to do the following

1) Battery waxing
2) Engine waxing ( to make it resistant to rodents)

Is this something that i need to do?

Dont go for things mentioned in your post. Free service is just a checkup and a free wash. Nothing else.

dhaya, my car has clocked 17000 kms in one yr and 4 months. Just confirmed with a S.A. today, he said still 2 months to go. However I am going this weekend to change,
1. sparkplugs
2. break pads (recently getting a feel that brakes are not that urgent)
3. change headlamp bulbs to philips xtreme.

Took my car to hyundai service station.

Changed --
1. Sparkplugs
2. Breakpads -- Had worn out more than half.(my car is an automatic. Maybe it has less life than manual)

Wanted to change airfilter, however it was not in stock. [surprise]

Guys in Pune Hyundai service is pathetic. Not much skilled personnel.

I dont think brakepad wear and tear would be different for a manual or automatic.

I strongly recommend that you write to cr@hmil.net and tell them that the pune service station does not have stock of air filters.

Email at cr@hmil.net? Those are even worst lot of people. I threatened Mr. Shym Menon, their regional head by going to consumer court for a friend and lot of others who are facing a genuine steering rattle in their i10 and i20's. No use. Those are not worth calling as human beings. In fact, the above mentioned gentleman told hyundai A.S.S. not to take any complaints from anywhere in India with regards to Steering Rattle.

You can cross verify my statements. If their head person is like this then you can imagine the rest.
