Hi Folks,
Been a short time since i visited and now back on track. Couple of hours back this morning , accidentally broken my Left Side view mirror covers. But the mirror works fine, only just the outer cover has broken. Called and approached Hyundai Motor Plaza Ekkaduthangal , Chennai regarding replacement mirror cover and to my surprise , service advisor asked me to change the entire side view mirror
, since HYUNDAI still doesnot produces spares for GRAND I10.
If i am right , its almost an year completed and a million car sale achieved by GRAND I10 and strange thing is non availability of spares.
Single mirror cover replacement i have to forcefully go for "Whole assembly Unit cost" without any other option it gives approximate cost of 6000 Rs. Inclusive of Paint and Labour charges.
Advise further to action accordingly, thanks.
Best Regards,
Naveen
Grand I10 Asta 1.2 - EPS and Check Engine Light Glows While Driving, Gear Shift Indicator Not Working.
The car had a misfortune of having to visit the Hyundai Service center unscheduled “TWO TIMES”.
The previous evening I noticed while driving that the "Check Engine" & “EPS” light was glowing, got a little worried and checked for all the fluids but the check light was still there even after starting the engine. So decided to call Hyundai and inform them, what followed next was surprising for me.
I own a 3 months' old Brand New Grand i10 which had got EPS & Engine light glowing display on the dashboard on January 17th, 2015 Hyundai Motor Plaza Main Workshop in Ekkaduthangal, Chennai on January 20th, 2015 where they detected the problem as “EPS Sensor Assy – Speed Part no. 964200X000”. They said that they need 5 days for getting a spare part. I was not told about the reason of such failure and ways to prevent this to happen again. I asked HMP whether it was safe to drive the car with the EPS and Check Engine Light Glows and got a response that it can drive with precautions.
5 days later after replaced EPS Sensor Assy-Speed, EPS and Check engine light display on the dashboard got disappeared all of a sudden, once again while driving, on January 31st, 2015. The steering was hard and felt like there was similar problem and noticed dashboard EPS and Check Engine light glows and also “Gear Shift Indicator Not Working”. This was an even more all dangerous situation, while driving 2nd time after repaired.
Such unexpected steering critical events that happened twice with a 3 months’ old Brand New Car – can lead to serious consequences. It’s disturbing to note that HMIL or its dealer (HMP) did not do any proper diagnosis of the problem, there is no preventive advisory being provided, neither there is any assurance from HMIL that such critical a situation will not recur. What is being done by HMIL is only a trial and error method of attempting to solve a highly critical problem.
Anyone of you faced problem like and what is the solution.
